DJ Nobu has long been Japan's best kept secret, but lately it feels like the cat is well out of the bag as his global touring schedule fills up for 2016. Nobu has been producing the legendary Future Terror parties in Japan since 2001 and launched his Bitta label in 2012. More than anything though, he is known for his completely unpredictable yet always mind-melting DJ sets. We were totally floored by both his prime-time set at The Bunker in Tokyo and his opening set at The Bunker in Osaka in September, 2015. He will be playing the closing set of The Bunker NY takeover of Berghain in February, making his North American debut at The Bunker in Brooklyn in March, in addition to playing alongside The Bunker resident Eric Cloutier at Smart Bar in Chicago. Few DJs demonstrate the depth of vision that seems to come naturally to Nobu.

Soramimi is a composer and producer based in NYC, and the co-owner of Dusk Notes record label. A “soramimi” is defined as a mishearing or feigned deafness. Launched in 2011, this project focuses on music as narrative imagery, with a celestial sound illustrated by cerebral textures and rhythms, and deep hallucinatory compositions. Soramimi brings a distinct fluency and gravity to the table of nuanced ambient and experimental techno.

Her live performances feature her original compositions using outboard hardware synths and effects. Soramimi’s live PA intertwines throbbing immersive techno with heady rhythms, and creates alluring layers of intricate and evolving sonic abstraction. Forgoing the path of the dj, she chooses instead to connect and share with her audience by purposefully and meticulously showcasing her own creations with live electronics. Influenced heavily by cinematic sound design and sound scoring, she hopes to evoke a powerful, visceral reaction in the listener, as if they were watching - or even living in - a gripping, electrifying film.

Her live PA has been spotlighted at NYC’s esteemed Output Club, Good Room, Knockdown Center, Red Bull Music Academy Radio and Bossa Nova Civic Club; and DC’s revered Forward Festival. She has shared the stage with other forward-thinking live PA artists such as Rrose, Lawrence English, Sleeparchive, Drumcell, Blazej Malinowski, Tin Man and Vril.

Soramimi 는 뉴욕을 기반으로 하는 프로듀서이자 Dusk Notes Record 레이블의 공동 오너이다.  "Soramimi’’ 는 "환청" 이라는 의미이다. 2011년에 시작된 이 프로젝트는 서사적 심상(혹은 형상화)로서의 음악에 중점을 두고 있으며, 우주적인 질감과 리듬으로 만들어진 사운드와 깊고 환각적인 작곡으로 구성된다. Soramimi 는 독특한 유연함과 무게감을 엠비언트와 실험적인 테크노로써 선사한다.

그녀의 라이브 퍼포먼스는 외부 하드웨어 신디사이저와 이펙터를 사용한 독창적인 작곡을 특징으로 가진다. Soramimi 의 라이브 PA 는 격렬한 리듬의 몰입감있는 테크노를 서로 얽고, 복잡하고 분위기를 고조시키는 매혹적인 추상적 음향 레이어들을 만들어낸다. DJ 로서의 길을 포기하는 대신, 그녀는 라이브 장비들을 통해 자신의 작품을 의도적으로, 그리고 꼼꼼하게 들려줌으로써 청중과 연결되고 공감한다. 영화 사운드 디자인과 사운드 스코어링에 크게 영향을 받은 그녀는, 강력한 내재적 반응을 청자에게 이끌어내기를 원한다. 마치 그들이 흥미롭고 열광적인 영화를 보는 것, 더 나아가 그 영화 안에 존재하듯이 말이다.

Always looking for new experiences, he never settles on a specific aspect in life with a never ending curiosity towards everything around. The music he creates brings a familiar feeling but also never knowing what to expect next and the main reason being that his unusual passion towards mysticism, unknown, ancient traditions and the conscience. 'SHMИ' is the end product created out of the will to cleanse the darker emotions that are inside the mind in order to make it know itself in a better way.

The beginnings of this moniker started when he, along with Ambijent, put the base of Spirit Totem. This concept (Spirit Totem) was born out of the desire to spark an interest for the local scene for hypnotic techno. Despite not having as much people locally interested in the music they promote, they decided to step up the game and put on hold the local party event concept into a Soundcloud artist promoting platform where they promote artists that have something to say, as long as their thoughts and visions towards music resonate with the direction Spirit Totem is looking towards.

언제나 새로운 경험을 찾는 그는, 삶의 특정 부분에 결코 정체되어있지 않으며 주위의 모든 것에 대해 궁금해한다. 그가 만드는 음악은 익숙한 느낌을 가져다 주지만 그 다음에 무엇을 만들지는 아무도 예측할 수 없다. 그 이유는 신비주의, 알려지지 않은, 고대의 전통과 양심에 관한 그의 특별한 관심 때문문이다. 'SHMИ' 은 마음 속에 있는 어두운 감정을 정화하여 보다 나은 방법으로 스스로를 알게 하려는 의지에서 귀결된 마지막 생산물이다.

이 이름은 Ambijent 와 함께 Spirit Totem 의 기반을 다질 때 시작되었다. 이 컨셉 (Spirit Totem) 은 Hypnotic Techno 에 대한 로컬 신의 관심을 촉발하려는 의도에서 태어났다. 그들이 홍보하는 음악은 로컬 씬에서 많은 관심을 끌지는 못했지만, 그들은 판을 조금 더 키우고 로컬 파티 이벤트 컨셉을 Soundcloud 로 옮겨와 생각과 비전이 Spirit Totem 과 일치하는 아티스트들을 홍보하기로 결정했다.

Born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan. The musical career started up in the late 90's Anaheim California as a turntablist. And later on headed back to Japan in 2001. After that the sights eventually turned into electronic music then all experiences are connected. Organizer of “FORCE” parties since 2007 and currently holding at Contact Tokyo. Recently the mix released as a podcast from United States, Italy and Germany. Founder and owner of “Paradigma Records” which is established in Italy / Japan in 2019 with the Italian artist Drafted. 
The first release of Paradigma Records will be  “HIGMA” : the project of Drafted & Yukimasa.

Yukimassa 는 일본 후쿠오카에서 태어나고 자랐다. 그의 음악 커리어는 90년대 후반 Anaheim California 턴테이블리스트로 시작되었다. 2001년에 도쿄로 이주한 뒤, 그의 모든 시각은 결국 전자음악으로 치우쳤고 그는 전자음악에 관련된 많은 것들을 경험했다. 그는 2007년부터 현재 Contact Tokyo 에서 개최하고 있는 "FORCE" 파티를 주최했으며 그의 최근 믹스는 미국, 이탈리아, 독일에서 팟캐스트로 발매되었다. 또한 그는 이탈리아 아티스트 Drafted 와 함께 2019년 일본과 이탈리아에 설립된 "Paradigma Records" 의 설립자 겸 오너이기도 하다.
