For the first installment, we warmly welcome Marco Shuttle, who inspired us to start this series. The word "Cinematic" is absolutely essential to Marco Shuttle's play style. 3 hours live recording from Agaitida "Year End Party" held in Okinawa in December 2022 is now published as Mix Series 01. Medulla Oblongata is a discreet yet emerging Dj who blossoms in his musical biotope between ambient and a mental and hypnotic techno. His techno sets are an invitation to an immersive journey where dancers can forget themselves. We could see him working lately with the Château Perché Festival and their secret and uncompromising side projects and at KALT (Strasbourg, Fr) where he can express himself without boundaries.

With other weirdos he also co-founded the collective TRÊVE gathering artists from different horizons around ambient and visual arts in order to propose dreamlike and contemplative events. His ambient sets become hybridized with tape samples, droning machine loops and synthesizers.

This Mix was selected, mixed and recorded by DJ Tom Larson @ homebase.
Tom was born on October 24, 1979 in Sonneberg. At the age of 16 he discovered his love for electronic music. At that time he was inspired by music sets of Richie Hawtin, Karotte and many other artists.He also had a big interest in spinning records.
Tom began to create Mixes... He put on records in many reputable locations in his homeland and at numerous radio stations like Sputnik Radio for example. He convinced lots of parties with his ingenious DJ Skills and also wants to convince you. For Tom electronic music is just timeless.

AlFaer (@alfaer), an anagram created with the purpose of synchronizing different minds at a unique moment. Terry Dankle Stole My Vinylz

Selene has been transmitting techno, ambient and electro beats on the airwaves of intergalactic.fm since 2012 — first as the host of The Teahouse on IFM’s beloved ambient channel The Garden, and then on The Dream Machine as the host of Special Circumstances. She’s made multiple appearances at the IFM Festival in the Hague and will be spinning techno tracks at the upcoming festival in May.

Originally schooled in acid house at full moon raves by the Wicked Soundsystem in the San Francisco Bay Area, she moved to New York where she developed her love of techno thanks to events like the legendary New Music Seminar. Any additional free time was spent digging through crates at Temple Records in Soho and throughout various sidewalk sales and flea markets in the city.  In addition to IFM, she’s also had the honor of recording guest mixes for Berlin’s Vortex Traks, Dresden’s Per Musica Ad Astra and for Real Techno on Mixcloud.

Favorite sonic experiences: Plastikman at the Packard Plant, I-f at IFM Fest, Tee Scott at Sound Factory Bar, Robert Hood at Movement, Jeff Mills at Twilo, Jenö at Bonny Doon and Kraftwerk at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Originally from a metalcore and hardcore background he has always enjoyed electronic and experimental music. Delving deep in the unknown space of impulsive rhythms, dissociative sounds and dark and eerie atmospheres, his goal ist to mesmerize the listeners with his productions and DJ- Sets. He has been establishing his soundscapes in the local and international scene since 2019. Releasing on labels like Charybdis, Further Sessions, KVLTÖ Records and Deflection Music just to name a few. With more releases insight he will be working on further developing his signature sound.
