Moon Roots Project is a hunt by two siblings for their love of sound. Fatema & Hannan Hakim are constantly evolving their own sounds and re-working already produced tracks into their own fabric. Being strong headed siblings they have found a middle ground on the sound scape they would like to project. 
Having started in late 2014, this duo has played at several clubs in Mumbai such as Boveda, The Daily, Bonobo, SOHO Tapas Bar, China 1, etc. Taking off at all the best clubs Pune has to offer Euriska, Blue Frog, High Spirits, Swig, The little Door, etc and had their debut in Goa in 2016 playing from Sundowners to Early morning sets at various clubs in a single night!
The Duo has releases on labels such as the infamous 'Under Noize' from El Salvador and the brand new Puff Recordings from India. Keep an eye out for them as they prepare to release on many more labels this coming year. They have closed venues after artists such as Pig & Dan as well as opened for big as well as upcoming techno sensations such as Matador, Konstantin (Giegling), Lee Foss, Rick Maia and Blot! Having played 1am sets at festivals such as the Lost Party this techno duo fuel their love for dark sound by playing in the midst of the night but also contrast their performances for different timings of the day. Their sounds ranges from Techno to Trance. However they always have their own unique way to surprise a dance floor making sure that the crowd keeps looking forward to them performing.

THUMP is a Breakspoll-nominated (Best Small Event, 2012) event based in Reading, UK.

Born in March 2007 out of a frustration with the lack of local events and the 'chin-strokey/holier-than-thou' attitude of a lot of underground nights, THUMP quickly established itself through parties with a reputation for wicked resident DJs, big bass, a large dose of silliness and, above all, bouncing around like idiots in front of a ridiculously loud soundsystem!

Since making our home at Reading's Bar Iguana in 2009, THUMP has played host to some of the biggest names in the international breakbeat scene (largely free entry events), whilst also providing a platform for some of the regions very best local DJs to rock out alongside their heroes.

Don't take our word for it though - if you fancy coming down to check out what all the fuss is about, we can be found at Bar Iguana in Reading, on the 3rd Friday of every month! Brapups! :)

I can never understand why the hell a DJ or producer would talk about themselves in the 3rd person, for example: "Zeppelin is a class A bass whore", or "Zeppelin rather takes a fancy to straddling bass in a sexual manner. And if there's an audience then all the better...."

Once I start talking It will become apparent, rather rapidly, that I may not quite be all there with my mental faculties. Please be rest assured - I can promise that I don't present a significant risk unless I get excited....  : )

I started loving heavy music when I was around 16-17, which arrived to me in the form of heavy metal , there are far too many artists to list but a few would include: Strapping Young Lad, Emperor, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Slipknot, and of course the bands  before them: Metallica, Anthrax, Testament, Black Sabbath etc.  It wasn’t long before I picked up a guitar and started learning how to play their tunes.  Shortly after I left college at 18 I started playing in various metal bands as a rhythm guitarist, sometimes playing covers but mostly writing & performing our own material. The two main bands that I played in were called Skuzzle & Mind’s Dead More Alive, or MDMA for short ;-)

 I was first introduced to underground dance around the age of 23, where I stumbled into a field and discovered the existence of outdoor free parties. I very quickly fell in love with the culture of underground raves & the music played there, and especially the harder & faster side of underground dance.  And most definitely the tunes primarily driven by a heavy as fuck bassline ;-)

As I was a guitarist for several years before that mental summer, it was hardly surprising that I bought a pair of turntables, and started learning how to mix. Freeform was the first genre I started mixing, the fast-paced euphoric riffs & stomping kicks of NuEnergy records were quite literally the kick to my creative tendencies to start learning FL Studio 7 and start practising music production techniques & writing melodies & riffs. At the start of 2009, after I had been producing freeform for a year, I started jamming ideas for different genres, the likes of hard trance, psy-trance and schranz for example, but there was one genre amongst all that was jumping out at me.....

I had been collecting NRG records for a good 18 months at the start of 2011, and it was at this point I decided to focus on sculpting an original sound within the NRG genre for myself, and the first track that I produced with that mindset was "Siiiick". It was after the completion of Siiiick that I decided to switch my DAW to Ableton 8, and every tune after Siiick has been produced on this wicked little machine : )  Since my 1st release in February 2012 and to the end of the year 2013, I have had 10 releases across 6 separate NRG labels. 

So there you have it. Have a listen for yourself dudes, I’m sure the music will speak for itself : )

My names Marc Baigent, i live on the south coast of the UK, originally from Edminton North London.
i produce all bass music, i like to keep my tracks dark, but have a good vibe and nice movement. ive always listened to Garage/2-step, Dubstep,D&B and minimal, these are the genres i dabble in too, other than that i listen to anything, there are no rules to music, if it sounds good, it sounds good and thats that. 
I like those tracks where you sit there after listening to it and say...yeah need to hear that again then u play it again and again, thats when i know ive got a track i like, tracks with emotion and feeling too.. i try to get that vibe going in my tracks depending on which genre im working with at the time...anyway i do enjoy working with other artists/producers too ive made a lot of good mates in the industry since i began writing music and their all wicked people to be around and be involved with so fancy a colab? just give me a shout, i wont always have time but im always game for working with you.

Akanksha is an Indian artist, curator, designer and writer. She was selected for the Fabrica Art Residency in Treviso , Italy in the Sound and Music department. Where she composed original soundtracks for brands like  United Nations, Bvlgari and UK Climate change committee. 

She was also featured in Rolling Stone India, in the top 10 DJS changing the electronic music scene in India. Her first album titled' Trace Yourself' produced during her time at Fabrica is slated to release in 2025. She has played extensively as a DJ across India and Italy.

On her writing front, her first screenplay is to be adapted in a 8 part tv series for 2026 release. 

On weekdays she runs a Sustainable and accessible luxury construction and design company in the Canary Islands.

Since 2012 member and co-founder of the 12 o’clock DJ crew. Started DJing in 1995 with the unique and fabulous DJ Team at Labor Productions. In the meantime he has developed his DJ skills into Deep and Progressive House tracks with melodious out of space influences in his dj sets. 

You’ll find him preferably in the fancy-lovely Zwyerhaus, which he discovered with his friends (in the industry-quarters of Altdorf) and reestablished as a meeting place for dance-loving people, the wicked Tellenbar or other way-out venues in Uri where you’ll hit upon well-known and open minded dancing people.

We take making and promoting our music seriously - and that's about it! Other than that we're a bunch of goobs who enjoy a variety of nerdly things, including but not limited to; reviewing video games and fine beers on a weekly podcast, fancy cheeses, dogs of all sorts, mocking hipsters, cultivating impersonation abilities, and all other hijinx in general. If you would like to feel like you are flying on the back of Pegasus over a rainbow, while shooting an M4 of awesomeness at a pot of candy - then you would probably like listening to our music! And if you enjoy watching five average looking people hop around onstage in a dork festivus extravaganza while playing wicked awesome songs and rock-paper-scissors simultaneously - then you'll probably like coming to watch us play live, and we encourage you to do so! I developed my musical tastes in San Francisco - listening to house music on the radio, living in one of the country's most primordial breeding grounds for house. I started out spinning at small bars around the cities in California like City Nights SF , Players Club in Vacaville, Paradise Beach and The Rage in Sacramento. Most of these places we had to spin a set format witch was ok. I liked to experiment with my own deeper style and feel by dropping De La Soul, disco classics, The Doors & Jimmy Hendrix, classic rock, and other stuff that I loved that wasn't being played in the main rooms. “I find that people will listen to whatever tickles there fancy, so I made it a point to play my sets with an open genre format by creating the mood with my music. 

I  feel that there's noway I'm gonna please everybody so I figure I'd just play what stimulates me and the rest will follow. While the predominant musical force in SF was still dark, dubby House and Wicked-style Breaks, I started to embraced the downtempo movement with a healthy bunch of live bands and DJ s generating the tunes. I've always been a musician by nature playing instruments like the Saxophone, Guitar and just recently synth-keyboards.

Since 2001, I've been traveling and performing at different shows a year, sometimes DJing all of my preferred styles in two different rooms at the same party. At other events, I've been known to play extended sets that lasted over 6 hours. I've also played with some of my very own favorite D J's doing opening and closing sets in Detroit Mi, Denver CO and Miami. Cats like Dj Icey, Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Paul Johnson, Digweed, Polliwog, Babe Ann, DJ RAP, Danny Tenaglia, David Harness, Ben Doren, Kenneth Thomas,Paul Oakenfold, Ritchie Hawkins, Norman Stradley, Jay-J, Ellen Ferrato, DJ Dan, and even George Clinton at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival 2002. I loved and cherished all these moments with all these guys and gals and got nothing but good energy from them but most of all a scenes of pride for the love of music and what it brings to people.
