After 2 years of practice, I’ve re-recorded one of the first songs I’ve attempted. This is “Kiss Me Baby 2022”! A cappella cover of the classic Brian Wilson song for The Beach Boys.

While Brian Wilson had no involvement in Little Old Lady From Pasadena, it's no secret how close Brian and Jan were (and thusly The Beach Boys and Jan and Dean.) The Beach Boys DID record this live for their 1964 Concert album :)

I recorded in 5 part harmony with each part double-tracked and separated for stereo.

Had To Phone Ya Sesame Edition

I’ve decided to skip around The Beach Boys catalog, holding off my last cover from the Today! album. It’s Over Now instantly became a favorite of mine in 1993 when I first heard it on the 30 Years box set.

Two firsts for me in this recording:

1. The Bridge:  I created a new arrangement because I always felt Marilyn’s contribution was out of place.

2. The tag: my son and I added our own touch to the melody at the end. It’s the first time he agreed to work on these songs with me and it made me smile. He definitely has the best sounding vocal of all my recordings.
