For years our strategy to fight hate and bigotry online has been very consistent; almost everyone knows it by heart. But I don't think anyone has ever given it a name to allow the practice to be more inclusive. I thought the best way to achieve this was to make it into song form. And on top of that idea I tried to make it super fun! Enjoy

The Words In The Order

This song is a bit of an odd beast. It started out with the hook and was originally intended to be a bit more light hearted and ended up a bit darker. A lot of the backbone comes from a Kurzweil K1000 which really does have awesome sounds on it. Enjoy!

You Come Off Like A Bitch In This World

This song was inspired by a line from a Kyle Dunnigan video that I thought was pretty funny. I had never heard of the term yenta before and upon learning what it meant I started putting an idea for a song together. Take the trope of fawning over a girl and slightly turn on its head and you get this song. Some of the synth lines were done with an Ensoniq Mirage and backing drums from a Simmons SDSV (for which I spent no joke a combined $40 for) to give this song some real 80's cred. Enjoy!

Turbo Yenta

If you understand where this comes from, you probably won't like the electronic dance style the song is made in. If you like the way it sounds, you won't understand what the hell it's about. What a perfect song for clown world! I like you more than a friend.

This song is specifically based on, of all things, the time when a Baby Monster got the Island Boys (remember them?) to sing The Bird Which is the Bald Eagle. Some of you may recognize the beep-like noise later in the song as the Rock 1 rhythm from the infamous Casio VL-Tone (mine is a Realistic Concertmate-200).  This one is pretty light hearted and I think it turned out great. Enjoy!

April Fools!
This is a song that has been floating around as an idea in my head for years and I thought that April Fools day would be a perfect time to release it. It was originally intended to be a bit in a Spiderman YTP that I was planning but never started work on. I would have released this alongside the video if it had been made. If anything, this is a love letter to Spiderman YTPs and the Tobey Maguire Spiderman movies. The acting in those movies and their quotable nature made them prime material to be sliced and diced and re-arranged. It was always fun to see what people would come up with. The character of Mr. Aziz was almost always included and could be altered to be anything from an obstacle in the way of Peter Parker's prized pizzas (say that five times fast) to a revenge-fueled supervillain. What better way to play tribute than to make a doo-wop inspired "love song" about needing pizza. I am actually surprised how well this one turned out and enjoyed making it. Hopefully it is equally enjoyable to listen to.

This is a song I've been sitting on for years that was originally going to be part of a video that never got released. I forgot about it for years and found it again looking through some old files (I'm a file hoarder and rarely delete anything). The song was complete but needed to be remastered a little bit with a few parts added in. I love the punchline quite a bit. A shorty but a goodie!

I Love You

A song about the end of the world. Fun!

I have apparently been sitting on this song for years and recently discovered it while looking through old FL Studio files. It was originally just an instrumental that I do not remember what I planned on using if for, but it was so good that I had to make a full song out of it. With what is going on in Ukraine (or what isn't going on, it's so damn hard to be sure) and the nuclear threats that Russia has been making, the possibility for catastrophe has at least crossed most peoples' minds. What would you think about in the end? Could you even put it into words? Is it an unhealthy thing to think about? Wishful thinking? I don't think any ideas should be off limits for anyone to entertain. Just try to keep a level head about it and you can't get in too much trouble.
I think I am starting to learn a bit more about getting the vocals right, and it needed to sound right on a song like this so I hope they turned out well. This was an interesting one to rediscover (I won't say fun for obvious reasons) and I hope you enjoy!

Please don't become fooled.
In so many ways this is a strange time to live. So much of what we are presented is given to us with some sort of opinion from the person presenting it. Gone are the days of simply presenting the information and letting the viewer put the pieces together. If you are not putting a spin on it to sway the viewer one way or another, you are losing ground to the person that does. I see this as a broad example of the Prisoner's Dilemma, which is a scenario that can be used to examine many things. This basically creates multiple versions of "reality", and you have to essentially choose one over the others. Because you now believe the other viewpoints to be completely unfounded, they all become obvious lies and the people that believe them to either be hopelessly irrational or lying for personal gain. This, in essence, is "The Big Lie".
This started out as more of a joke song about the concept of "The Big Lie" that was being pushed after the accusations of election fraud after the 2020 election. It eventually morphed into a more serious tone (as many of my songs tend to do), became more universal, and turned out a lot more electronic than originally intended (I think it's a good change).  I think I am getting better in terms of mixing, vocals and production and hopefully you enjoy!

The Big Lie

I've been toying with this song for years. And I mean YEARS. You could probably call this the first Nevermind Charlie song, even though when I came up with it this entity didn't exist. I toyed with it, re-recorded the lyrics, added and deleted parts; everything except release the damn thing. I think the song is a good; of course, I will never know that unless I actually release it. Music is meant to be shared, after all, if it isn't, it's just an idea in your head. I am not perfect; none of us are. But this song has always sat in the back of my mind, begging for closure. And I can't sit on it anymore. Either it's good, or it isn't. No more tinkering. It's time to let it go. Enjoy!
