classmates d & d organized in 2017 to shine a light on “up and coming talent” from their school. In 2018 they started work on their first collaborative works and in June of 2019 goofgodd realeased his debut (and sadly also final release) “hate dreams of the sun” after months of editing to meet Apple Music’s standards. formed mouse utopia 12/31/2019 shortly before the good half of the band moved to LA (which is sweet) leaving mouse utopia without in person studio time for nearly a year and counting… on 12/31/2020 george jr put together the mouse utopia 1 year anniversary tape, labeled “mouse utopia 2020 tape” limited to 5 1990 Sony A-Type cassette tapes. Side A featured george jr’s freestyles of that year and side B contained dev’s best beats of 2020. On 7/24/2021 george jr released his debut album: “unfinished: an idea by george jr 2020-2021” containing the last tracks worked on by mouse utopia as a functioning band in development in Springfield, Missouri in 2020 and featuring stripped back and revealing cuts that leave a personal view of the band and friendship as it functions, as well as telling the story of george jr and acting as an introduction to him as a personality and talent.
