On Oct 6th 2021, about 2 years after my last set in London, I played from open to close (11pm to 5am) at Village Underground in Shoreditch. Here's a recording of the whole night with a bit of the crowd noise. 

Perhaps a full tracklist at some point... some unreleased stuff in here. 

Even though it had been a while, we had all night so no use in rushing things! I came across a lot of lovely music this year, but it mostly lived in my rekordbox or in a radio mix. I actually record a lot of my sets but it always feels like they're in a constant state of iteration, making it hard to pick just one "version" to release. Over the years I feel like this has led me to only very sparingly drop live-recorded sets. A "party" doesn't often lend itself to the archivable realm, maybe the memories are best suited to the ephemeral. 

Anyway, eternal gratitude crystals to those who came and those who danced, and to those listening now.

Peace Piece
It might seem silly, but with the theme of Bill Evans' “Peace Piece,” I felt the urge to contribute my little imperfect live improvisation to this upsetting moment in time, to be with those who suffer and go unheard.

I felt compelled to delve into a performance exploring my personal embodied memories and fragments, resonating and giving something in a moment where it’s highly needed to find a voice for those who can’t speak up.

A dialogue between the piano, my body as an archive, and the instrument within the resonances of this world.
It’s a “Gedankenspiel” swirling through the air. I relish the challenge of engaging with my inner conflicting voice which loses sometimes track and than finds itself again. 

When the world weighs heavily, and I feel helpless, the only way to continue is not to stop, continue listening and speaking up for those who don’t have a voice and aren't heard to find a way out. 

Here, I can meet myself in conversation with my emotions, exploring how we archive our unconscious experiences and access them through the embodiment of a performative act in music through the present and memories.

It was such a pleasure to share my music at Mira's legendary birthday party at Kater in the legendary "Extra" Floor, surrounded by so many friends and as part of such a magnificent lineup! 

Thank you, Mira! Thank you again and again for everything you do and for this playground you provide. And of course, from the bottom of my heart: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

This set is called “Siamo Tutti,” which translates from Italian as “We all are.”  We are all HUMAN BEINGS, we all deserve a dignified life! Reading it like this, in black and white, it sounds like a two-dimensional platitude. And yet, every day I ask myself why it is not a reality of life. This set is dedicated to those who are exposed to hatred because of their sexual orientation, gender, skin color, ethnicity, or class. And it is dedicated to all those who are committed to fight for a dignified world for everyone. I hope you can recharge your batteries, be inspired, and find new courage and strength!
