Building on improvisational methods, Makebelief morphs pop music into an expansive audio topography, reimagining Auto-Tune and blending warped instrumentation with inventive sample collage. His mosaic style is informed by electronica, pop, trap, noise, and indie to create an esoteric sound that evokes “big feelings.” Makebelief is currently at work on his sophomore album, set to release in 2024. His debut album, Confusion Fruit, is available now on all streaming platforms.
