This song is part of a collection I recorded in March last year at the renowned Gabriel recording studio in Stalden, Switzerland, with my quartet. I composed this and many other tracks to complete my Master's degree in performance at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts which I finished in June 2023.
With this piece I wanted to capture that feeling of well-being that you get, even for a short time, during a rather negative period. It is that feeling that keeps you going, providing you with a glimmer of hope and happiness to persevere and achieve your goals.
Starting from a simple melody that emerged during one of these described moments (the one you hear in the opening), and with the help and skill of all the talented musicians I collaborated with, "Joy for a Moment" became a reality.
I am really excited to be able to let you listen to it, and I hope that you, too, can grasp that sense of rebirth and hope that inspired me to create this song.
