i struggle to sleep again alone
struggle to keep a friend but i won't
harbour a deep resentment
i'll attend my routine assessment

i jotted my feelings down in my notes
just to find i couldn't make out what i wrote

my friends probably laugh at me
that's ok my life's a joke
a trail of my fantasies
