JLE J4Y is an artist & musical engineer that hails from the city of Inglewood, California. JLE was raised by her grandparents & by the tender of 5 music had found its way into her life.
J4Y’s musical career began while attending Holy Name of Jesus Elementary School. Amid her adolescence, and adjusting to social norms, JLE only found interest in her school's music program and in time joined the "Brighter Day Youth Choir.” J4Y was able to grow and expand her artistry and acquired many skills such as reading music, playing piano, and even playing the drums. These talents opened up a brand new world for JLE and by the time she turned 13, she had already become acquainted with traveling and performing. Brighter Day Youth Choir had the opportunity to perform at places like the
Skirball Cultural Center, and The House of Blues, along with churches in San Diego, CA, and Las Vegas, Nevada. This experience was enough for J4Y to decide to be great in this craft. With first-hand experience of traveling and performing.
With all of these experiences, J4Y advanced on to high school and college. She was accepted into and attended Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA and was able to obtain her Bachelor of Art in Film and Media in 2020. From that point on she began to fully immerse herself in her art. The University provided resources that allowed JLE to perfect her craft with some of the best equipment available. JLE is known to be very resourceful and when she is looking to do something, she does it. With the help of her peers, JLE was able to achieve mastery in editing and audio software. Some of the programs she is proficient in are Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Final Cut Pro, and Avid Media Composer.
