In a saturated sea of predictable rappers that never seem to stray away from the limiting rapper box, REEDTHEINFINITE sticks out like a sore thumb and it seems as so that he does this intentionally, or naturally rather. Lines like “y’all eating that garbage, I get in the booth, turn to Clark Kent” stick out for the reason that today’s world of rap is embellished I’m taking drugs, alcohol and generally not caring for one’s self. Even some of these biggest hip hop musicians live healthy lifestyles but are scared to tarnish their images due to their audiences perceptions of them. Reed, in stark contrast, is being totally transparent with his lifestyle and even promoting various aspects that the traditional hip hop artist would keep behind closed doors , such as admitting ones weaknesses, plant based diets, the use of psychedelic medicines, meditation and more. 



“Music is how the soul speaks. It’s supposed to be the most transparent honest thing because it is self expression at its fundamental core. In the past, I was very impersonal and a bit shallow in my music and some of the stuff I can’t even listen to without cringing a bit today. I still love my old shit but I’ve just changed so much that it’s like revisiting the past. 

I don’t want people to perceive me the wrong way because I am saying the wrong things or what I think is the norm in this hip hop genre box we put ourselves in. I love women, our sisters, but someone that listens to my music from back then may think otherwise. I fully support the LGBT communities but someone that hears me saying the word “faggot” with such ferocity that I have may be influenced to think otherwise and I can’t blame them because that’s what I AM PUTTING OUT. I was contradicting myself, and it’s embarrassing to admit. So at a certain point I decided to stop making music with the thoughts and perceptions of others in mind and just make MY MUSIC, not rap or hip hop, in terms of the readymade identities that come with it.

 I Hope now this’ll give people a crystal clear look into who I really am now

The stuff that we don’t say is usually the purest form of truth, that’s why we don’t like talking about our problems or faults. And all of rap now is just the same copy and paste personality and I didn’t want to conform to that anymore because its not and never was me.



“Modern rap today basically celebrates unconsciousness. Division amongst men and women is the most prevalent. Misogyny and hip hop, the mainstream anyways, is sadly hand in hand. And I am not taking part in progressing that. Women are whores, bitches, sluts. Porn is celebrated too. Killing is cool. Being smart isn’t too cool, at least don’t be smart in your songs. All the things that I was opposed to, I was a embodiment of because I didn’t take my craft as serious as I do now, and see it as my soul speaking. Not just rapping. I write.
