On the build to his initial beattape release, jazz-hop producer Ilke Ta has teamed up with cross-genre electronic producer HIRO to create a piece that captures the melancholy of isolation and the endless expanse of a lonely mind. The pair have been developing a show that unites electronic and live instrumental elements with immense visual and dance components, with the hope of performing around the UK in 2020.
With HIRO’s latest collaboration with Sylva Faye and HOFU already causing a stir, Deepwoods is set to make waves in the electronic world, fusing elements of trap, emo, downtempo and dubstep in order to evoke a shout into the void, a longing without end.
Though Ilke Ta and Hiro largely differ in their production style and approach, stylistically Deepwoods provides a beautiful balance between live instrumental sampling and detailed audio manipulation, with the end product resonating with those that are longing for connection in this difficult time.
