The theme of the song was created on Autumn 2012 and since then this song has haunted me. It was finally the proper time to finish it. This song has the same elements as The Hauntings EP, but it lives in it's own realm, so I decided to release it as a single.

As with on all of my music, After Ritual is not constructed upon the rules of music theory but rather channeled from some place unknown via improvisation, by being close to the true inspiration, with a minimal amount of calculations.

Lonely Star

A plethora of tantalizing electronic emotions centered around the classic 808 drum machine sprinkled with a dash of orchestral strings.

Nitrogen Skyline

Recorded on one take, this acoustic guitar solo piece is a brutally honest interpretation of the seriously hard time that I had a few years ago. As is the case in all of Sorrot music, Untitled Sad Song works as a musical diary of my life in that particular moment, when the music is being created. Backround ambience was created by a field recording of a real-life storm, recorded in autumn 2021.

Cure

"Hero" is both a love song and a song about wanting to leave a mark somewhere, perhaps a legacy, however indiscernible it might be. It's about wanting to be something like a heroic presence for someone dear, at least in some way, at least for one person, to leave special mark on them. Be a part of what ever world comes after us, even if unseen. There's a lot more purpose to our story than what's here for us in the here and now. In some way it reflects on that, towards not so readily undervaluing our presence in this world, however limited it might seem at the time.
