Born and raised in the Washington, DC area, The Undiscovered Artist is an African American songwriter who was inspired to write the Coronavirus Song (The Rong Song) after his own son went to the hospital to get tested and was denied a test.

His son ended up being okay, but the frustration and disappointment led to The Undiscovered Artist writing this powerful song. He says that his style of writing songs is inspired by musicians like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and many others who often wrote songs about what people were going through at the time.
