#5. Love Teaches You Everything

UPDATE: for 2024 I am returning to my true love of Prog/Progressive Rock, and I intend to do seven tracks this year. I will be taking a break from Soundcloud here and there to get those nagging life obligations that we all have completed. Stay tuned and best wishes!

NOTE: Songs leading up to an album will not be a Progressive Rock project for 2023. Haven't run out of ideas--just giving light to older songs that have been begging to be heard.

I am an obsessed Progressive Rock fan favoring no genre in particular, yet I have  carried influences from: most every Italian band, especially Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, along with Jethro Tull, early Genesis, Marillion,  King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Ange (from France), and on the heavy side there is Mercyful Fate and King Diamond.  My guitar heroes include: Michael Schenker, Martin Barre, Steve Hackett, Robert Fripp,  Steve Rothery, Michael Denner, Hank Sherman. 

I consider deep lyrics to be essential (especially if you can't sing), as well as song dynamics and surprise elements, with a touch of altering song structures (gained from the days of tearing apart every Mercyful Fate song minus the Satan stuff). I am not inventing the wheel, nor do I consider myself groundbreaking in any way. I just can't stop writing songs. As I am aging (now 64) and being handicapped due to a work accident in 1978 which took 3 2/3 fingers off the left hand. I have an aching right wrist that doesn't let me fly as I once did, so I work within the limitations given.  I hope you enjoy.
