I love music and produce the genre that I love which is Progressive Trance specifically in the style of Trance music from the late 90s to the early 2000s. When I started this project back in the summer of 2002. After coming up with numerous names that would suit my style coined as ‘light, airy and melodic Trance’ I settled on the name ‘Goldengate’..

Gordon McInnes is from Glasgow and has lived there all of his life. He has been writing and producing music for the past 27 years. Gordon comes from a musical background. His late father was an ardent home producer in his spare time, writing and producing music in the style of New Age and ‘Gregorian Chants’ and has strongly influenced Gordon in his appreciation for the New Age Genre, Enya, Deep Forrest, Enigma. Gordon’s music has been heavily influenced by well known Trance acts such as 'Chicane' ‘Solar Stone’, ‘Blank and Jones’, ‘4-Strings’, ‘Space Brothers’ and ‘Rank 1’ all of which have influenced Gordon’s Trance projects whereby he goes by the alias ‘Goldengate’ which he started as a Trance project back in 2002.

WolfGang Paul, (WGP) an upcoming artist, was born and raised in the southside Chicagoland area. He fell in love with all forms of music at an early age, including hip-hop, but his love for House and bass music was next level. He started very early in the music industry at the age of 13, at that time evolving into a hip hop artist. He was introduced to his mentor, the late great Paul Johnson at the tender age of 14, and his entire world changed. Little did he know by the age of 18, he would land a record deal emceeing and that him and Paul would reconnect on a professional level, eventually leading to PJ producing beats for some of his projects.

After many years of performances as an emcee, the entire plan shifted. His love for DJing and the Chicago House music community took hold, and the rest was written in the stars. Focusing on the genre of Tech/Bass House, he has started on his journey of becoming a global sensation, and his momentum is building daily. House music is more than just music. It's a feeling. It's therapy. It's home. Welcome to the world of WolfGang Paul.

Latest single - Awakenings - set for released on all streaming platforms - 29th December 2023

The album '50' is now released on all major streaming platforms. This was a project that I worked on during 2020-2021, while we were facing the Covid-19 pandemic in lockdowns, curfews, quarantines.

It has been on the drawing board for a long time, but never materialised. All the songs are my compositions, arrangements and mixing are also mine. I'm not a producer and am not going to pretend I became one. This project was a learning experience for me and with time available to experiment, study, head banging and nail biting while looking for the ideal chord or suitable sound to match what I had on my mind made this almost nine month project an awesome experience. 

I am now looking forward for you to enjoy it as much as I loved working on it.
