This song/ditty wrote itself the morning of Walter Scotts killing. I woke, turned on the news, saw the fresh footage, unbelievably hopeless  footage of a man being shot in the back by a policeman and I fell back sat on the couch. As I sat, the sun reflected from the glass surfaced living room table so hard in my face, it immediately created the lyrics and melody simultaneously; "Too many guns, too many people" etc, as it was the first time I experienced a killing with such horror so close, only 3 minutes away from my house. To think I would have heard the shots had I been awake.. On my left I had my Spanish Nylon guitar and the rest came as you hear it on the record. I couldn't get more to the point as I did on the first verse, so I repeated it as a second verse. Sometimes it happens like that. 

This song is nOt an attack on the second amendment, instead a diplomatic observation on how vulnerable we are to guns in the US and how vulnerable we ALSO are in places like Europe without being able to defend ourselves as our laws forbid us from carrying them "How can we protect ourselves without a fence/offense" . Concluding the song with "What are we gonna do about it?".

The goal is peace.

A colaboration between two worlds worked out as it should have. Or better. We went in hoping to write a lovers Pop song for licensing and ended up loving the track more than anticipated  :) 
Bart's Brother went in with the perspective of a young boy falling deeply  in love with a little young girl. First love kinda thing. And Beatman Fresh had a slightly more.. lets say Adult perspective on the song :) I think that the neediness in the lyrics comes across pretty well. 
"Fresh" recorded the Drums, Piano, Backing Vox and shakers on the track. 
Bart's Brother recorded the Bass, Acoustic guitars, Lead and Backing Vocals, shakers (If I remember right we were throwing that thing around?? :). 
Todd Beals plays the hopeful Trompet on the end riff. THANKS TODD !
