Dankie Sounds was launched back in August 2021 at a time when the infectious sound of Amapiano was unarguably the sound of summer. With the aim of being the number 1 hybrid event within the amapiano scene; the shows provide a unique musical experience for its attendees where they, the DJ’s and the instrumentalists are the main attractions.

I started Djing at the age of 14.



What made me get into music was that i was born into a musically inclined family. I was born with the talent of being able to beat drums from the age of about 5 years. I was apart of the music ministry in church. I got into Djing when my little cousin had her bithday party and i stood and watch a Local Dj by the name of Scooby Doo came and did his thing and entertained the crowd. From that point on i then went out and started to do my own thing, purchased my own equipment and from that point on in my life i started to build a career in professional djing. One thing i know when it comes to anything you want to do in life you must have a passion for it, must be able to love it and put your mind to it in order to succeed and with music this is what i did.



Being a DJ in the Caribbean you tend not to have one particular style or genre of music that you like but you do have strengths to show that you are strong in a certain genre. I am a versatile dj that can mix just about any genre of music.  Rake n Scrape (Bahamian Cultural Music), Gospel, Reggae, Rap, Hip Hop & RnbB Jazz, Golden Oldies, Afro Beats, Salsa, Kompa and so much more….. 



My influences are international icons like Grand Master Flash, Dj Funk Master Flex, Dj Kid Rock & Dj Jazzy Jeff. My Local influences are Charlie Brown, Scooby Doo (R.I.P), Gummie Bear,  Fadda Baker, Mighty Pencil, Dj Fines, King Cnote and my young protege Dj Stylez.



Trust me coming up doing this music thing it wasn’t a easy road. I’m talking about embarrassment, sleepless nights, being shout at etc. All this came with a price as usual it just made me better and molded me into the Dj i am today.



I've dj at many local clubs and bars across the bahamas but here are some just to name a few, Club Fluid, Charlies Club, Club Revolution, SBL, Pure Nightlife, First Down, Club Luna, Green Parrot & Harry’s Hut. Clubs internationally, i have played at different spots throughout the US, especially Florida & Canada. 



I've dj at local Radio stations 100jamz Thunderstorm (Bakerboys), 104.5 and More 94 Fm.



My Future goals in this Dj Career are to become a international icon for my Country. I want to be able to go abroad and play and perform in different atmosphere's so that i can broaden my horizons when it comes to the different genres of music.  I also want to extend my musical knowledge as a dj not just to only spin records but also eventually become a producer in the music industry. Therefore I’m able to push my own artist and break new music worldwide.



In the near future you can expect Dj Blaze to be Internationally known. Expect me to have my own record label, Own my own Djing Company & School, begin to sign artist and help more of the younger talent that is out there to be successful at what they want to achieve in the music industry.

Known as a “lawyer by day, DJ by night,” Alan King is one of the early members of the legendary Chicago-based DJ crew, the Chosen Few DJs (now consisting of Alan, Wayne Williams, Jesse Saunders, Tony Hatchett, Terry Hunter, Andre Hatchett and Mike Dunn).  In the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, the Chosen Few DJs was a group of popular DJs from the city’s south side who played their unique brand of soulful dance music to huge crowds at Chicago night spots of historic importance in the birth and development of house music, including Sauer’s, First Impressions, the Playground and the Loft.  Alan’s influence on the house music landscape has been felt for more than 40 years, and he has been cited as an inspiration by countless DJs including legendary house music DJs and producers Frankie Knuckles, Steve "Silk" Hurley and Chip E.  Alan still regularly plays to rave reviews at clubs and events throughout Chicago, the United States and across the world.  The Chosen Few DJs also host the annual Chosen Few Old School Reunion Picnic each July 4th weekend in Chicago, one of the largest and longest running house music festival events in the world!
