Obviously, World of Warcraft was a huge source of inspiration for me, and I´d like to dedicate this humble performance for my all- time heroes Russell Brower and Jason Hayes, whose work have inspired me to push my limits year after year.

Notes:
What's a song without a story behind it?  The last week and a half I have had a lot of long detailed conversations with a local studio owner/musician. It has been a very enlightening time and filled with new ideas and revelations.  

Part of our conversation lead to modern engineering techniques to get large bottom end tracks...which is where this song comes in.  We listened to a couple of songs and discussed how they might be achieving those results.  We started exchanging information and viola about 3 different experimental ways to possibly get to that point.  

When we finished our discussion each of us had a path to Rome.  Mine is trying to squeeze everything out of a single bass instrument...but keeping it in a single bass track... or the path of the purist. 

My friend had the path of engineering perfectionist...splitting, compression, multiple passes with various gear...synth augmentation etc.

This exchange has advanced my understanding 6-8 months.  Allowing me to bypass an entire stage of trial and error.  We traded knowledge and we both gained something from the exchange. 

So without further ado here is my attempt to squeeze every ounce of energy out of the bass track and produce as fat a bottom as I can muster.

Thanks everyone for listening and supporting and all you smiles, laughter, head bobs, swaying, toe tapping, and finger snapping. I appreciate it all! I am glad we are all still here after all these years and SC scares and alternate site distractions. 

This is another track I made many years ago. I made it audio bin style by rearranging baselines and guitar parts from old stems from Blankets. If my recollection is correct, I might have reused parts of “Falling Off (The Precipice),” which is currently set on private. It has been sitting on my hard drive asking to be released but I have been telling it no, you need to be patient and wait. Once I finally felt I could release it, it sounded old to me, lol. So Wou-Wou and Wizardshoes / AKA Ill Dub came to the rescue. They resuscitated it, fed it good food, and dressed it up real nice, and now it is ready to go!

I sent the original tracks over to Couch King some time ago after working with him on a couple of his projects. I've always wanted to do a hip hop track with some rapping but it's the one thing I haven't gotten down yet. I love what he did both musically and with the subject matter. Plus what a sweetheart to work with. I got it 99% done but then got really busy and left him hanging for far too long. After some gentle prodding, I finally finished. Thanks again Marquis! :)
