The Kids in the Camps

They walk like some ghosts, they never jump or run around
you may see sorrow and tears in their eyes
one may wonder a lot - why do they suffer from this pain
they are only some innocent kids
who have landed here without their own fault

It is hot during the days, and it is cold during the nights
and it is seldom a blanket they can find
and it’s seldom that they can wash their clothes and get clean
they are only some innocent kids

But deep in their souls they may see futures that are bright
now they are confident that there are people who are kind
they will come to their help and give them water and food
they are only some innocent kids

They want to get away from this horrible camp
they want to travel to a paradize where they are safe
they have been waiting so long that these magic events occur

I close my POTENCIAL BIÓTICO album with this contemporary revival of a philosophical song I wrote 19 years ago when my grandpa died.

Could describe it as a requiem for guitar quartet, 2 voices, rhythmic base & church bell (you may know the piano version at https://soundcloud.com/esemanolain-ruizzo/sets/piano-sessions-2012 album).

A mostly slow piece with lotta soul and no artistic ambition (but a little ‘Pros&Cons’ air to the end ;).
