Kintsho Ka Tshabalala was the famed percussionist at the equally-infamous Berlin Lounge Bar, "off a lane", deep in the darkest heart of after-hours Surfers Paradise, on Queenslands Gold Coast. Often in the advertising material of the time he was referred to as simply "bongo man"! Samples used in this track are of the late Kintsho's fabulous conga playing, and also a few vocal snippets of his voice from an interview he gave on Radio Metro around that time.

The first release for the main label this year continues our new year plan of new blood on the label as we welcome Mike Turing and ILLUS1ON whose Darkness collaboration is something we really think you're going to love.

We approached Mike after hearing his releases on labels like Pure Dope Digital, White Line Music, Mavic Music, Lets Techno and Clone 2.1, among others. We knew he was someone we wanted to work with.
He has teamed up with UK based Slovkian producer ILLUS1ON who is set for huge things in 2022.

Darkness is a combination of driving Techno beats and a slight touch of melodics. This sound is killing it right now and these guys have delivered something that will drive dancefloors wild!

On the remixes we have Acid Clubbers who we were super keen to get back after his Discover release for us. He has given us a remix that covers all the hallmarks of his unique style.

Also we have I-K-O, hailing from Solvenia who will be releasing an EP with us later this year, who hot on the heels of his massive Beatport Chart success has delivered a harder edged take on the original!

Many times when I compose I come up with a lot of ideas and when I try to sing I realize that I need to simplify. Usually when I am done I delete the original draft, but in this case I liked all the organ pieces I came up with and decided to hang on to the draft. A simplified version of this eventually became the song "Easy For You" with Davy Vance. This is a sort of B3-ish organ fest that I really like - hopefully some of you out there feel the same way.
