a. has to be genuine - I craft exactly as I feel at all times.
b. has to be peculiar - feels different from what is considered the norm.

When it comes to Malik’s performances he also follows the above conventions - this means that as long as a track exudes genuineness, peculiarity, and whimsical charm, it finds its rightful place among his music collection and eventually his sets.
