RUNNING UP THAT HILL

Like so many this last week I got mesmerized again after so many years by the beautiful songwriting in this song by and of Kate Bush. A song from my young teenager years, released in 1985, that already impacted my younger self. And now due to a Netflix series called "Stranger Things" its back with a vengeance for younger generations. 

A quote from LIAM HESS, May 30, 2022:  
Over the weekend, the song shot to the top of the U.S. iTunes charts, with the show’s largely teenage fanbase taking to Twitter and TikTok to post about their new musical discovery from decades past. Others, however—notably long-time Bush fans of a certain generation, who have patiently sat through many decades of radio silence from a musician notorious for taking long hiatuses and doing minimal press—rolled their eyes. “How could you not know about the genius of Kate Bush already?”

 Great music is eternal after all.

This is my humble attempt at it in the form of an acoustic guitar trio piece. I hope you can enjoy my cover of this classic.

Scutum constellation lies in the southern sky. Its name means “the shield” in Latin. It is the fifth smallest constellation in the sky.

The constellation was originally introduced by the Polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius in the 17th century. Hevelius named it Scutum Sobiescianum, Shield of Sobieski, in honour of the Polish King Jan III Sobieski, who had been victorious in the Battle of Vienna in 1683. Hevelius created the constellation a year later to commemorate the event, and the name was eventually simplified to Scutum.

HS Recordings is a small label in the making, it was organized back in 1999, and behaved like a Phoenix bird. It soared with a musical opus, then fell to the ground. The label was organized by two friends Jan Slavov (Dj UNO) and Sergey Ptitsin (  ZARINE, S13, NIR300, PTITZYN ...) on the basis of the HAVANA CLUB institution in St. Petersburg. Life has been swept away by comrades around the world, but the idea of ​​the label is still alive and is being realized again. The label, as from the very beginning, is engaged in interesting projects  preferring electronic music.
