Nothing Is Real Records (@nothingisrealrecords) celebrates spring with another great Mexican producer, Alfredo Cardenàs aka Montessori (@montessorimusicmx), already recognized for his Rhythmic enveloping and energetic style of productions. The quality of his music caught the attention of many producers, djs and dancers in the game. The Montessori EP is formed by 4 dancefloor oriented tracks.

The main track ‘Glue In The Sand’ is a perfect example of modern indie dance, with the fresh addiction of trippy synths and fx, the tailored vocal of Vongold (@nvongold) captures the attention of the listeners giving a lovely shape. Instead ‘Digital Mind’ is an obscure dark piece of dance music with a special tech flavor, perfect for the need of pushing more when the crowd is ready.

You can immediately hear the desire of experimenting different roads on the arrangement from the German duo Peter Invasion (@peter-invasion) and Gregor Habicht (@gregor-habicht) on their remix of Glue In The Sand: the work on electro elements and the sliced pieces of vocals are simply unique, a solid inprint from the producers.

Astroloop is on board remixing Glue In The Sand with a simple but effective bassline, gated synths and acid moments trying to maintain the moving of the track with the change of elements.

With a lengthy DJ history spanning over two decades, Art Jefferson continues to bring cutting edge sounds of various genres, spearheading distinct vibes and creating an exciting listening experience for crowds. He has produced a number of radio shows, 
introducing audiences to acts across the globe, all with the same intentiion as his job behind the decks - to foster a specific mood of audible pleasure. 

As a writer and music journalist he has covered and interviewed various artists / producers spanning a multitude of genres. Whether covering a post-punk band from London, a U.S.
chart-topping artist, or a German electronic outfit, Art Jefferson’s ear for groundbreaking acts has made him a  modern day tastemaker. He contributed to Lukasz Polowcyzk’s latest book ‘Aint About Me’.

Art Jefferson’s approach to photography is no different having shot music, fashion, as well as cultural and political journalism. His work ‘Village People’, documenting the modern cultural shift of Dulwich Village, exhibited in London.

The element of style is something that yet again, plays a piece of the overall puzzle. 
Inspired by everything from 50s rock & roll to late 60s proto-punk, on down to 70s soul and even glam, there is always the embedding of culture and the sonics behind the eras that factor into Art Jefferson’s inspiration behind his delving into the world of fashion.

As the summer draws to a close and the nights begin to grow darker, we end our hiatus to bring you longtime friend of the label and a producer we admire, Canada's very own, Sid Le Rock, with a little help from two of Mexico's hottest production talents respectively: Cabizbajo and Colossio, who place their own unique stamp on Sid's latest EP ' Strutline Crisis'.

The title track certainly struts it's stuff, subtly sawing its way through the 'strutosphere' with melodic atmospherics that give way to chimes which decorate the sonic landscape.

'Crisis Hotline' keeps the atmosphere but ramps up the tension with whispered vocal stabs, which punctuate an urgent siren like bassline, which is the hallmark of the track.

Cabizbajo's interpretation of 'Strut Your Stuff' ups the pace from the original with 'machine gun' drum fills before hypnotic cowbells leave the track descending into tribal debauchery.

Finally, Colossio's reworking completes the release by bringing a pulsating and persistent acid laden builder, to close out the EP in the darkest but grooviest way possible.
