CAN'T AFFORD IT

Needed to get this one out of the system a Les Paul Instrumental rocker powered by a 'Leslie' spinning speaker effect. Several transitions here interwoven with the Les Paul 'C' tuned keeping it locked in. This was a major undertaking with more guitars than a Nashville music store. 
As ever these labour of love obsessional tracks take precedent as they don't come around that often though I recall past releases include 'Spice of Life', 'Cat Mouse', 'Would You Be Cool?' and 'Gotta Get Up'. It's reverse engineered which is rather time consuming but I hope pays off in the long run.

This track came out of the blue and rolled off the production line swiftly. I feel it has a fluid feel and the sections flow into each other naturally creating light & shade. It's upbeat, direct and driven. Finishing touches now in place for the next album, exciting times.

Fast-moving, piano-based alt-rock track. Sometimes life throws more than one curved ball and it hits you right in the face! 

What In The World

This is what happens when you finish your latest album, you reset with a modal E tuning and come up with this banger.  Makes perfect sense, will require several listens to fully engage. Enjoy.  

Modal E Trance

Here is an eclectic mix of guitar fuelled rhythms all written, produced, sung and performed by Nick which have now culminated in 250 tracks in 6 years. The journey commenced in 2020 with 2 EP's and 14 albums since (6 in one year) Being 'The Black Tulip' , 'Prismatic' , 'Who Would You Be?' , 'The Red Carpet', 'Cat & Mouse', ‘How This Plays Out', 'Positive Signs', 'All The Colours' , '9' , 'Keep On', 'The Perfect Storm', 'Heart of Blue', 'Every Time', 'Green Light' with a new album pending imminently being 'At The Gates'.
These are available on the usual outlets Spotify/iTunes/Deezer/Pandora/Napster, Bandcamp etc.

Its eclectic, quirky I confess, British? Experimental in places but above all stuffed full with Gibson guitars, energy and a passion for music and life in the highs and lows that days of late bring.  Hope you appreciate the artwork too all photographed or produced by me to keep it authentic and original.

The music goes hand in hand with a more personal journey born through life changing events. Of note the album 'The Perfect Storm' set the benchmark in online attention with the title track single. I think the style and sincerity of performance mirrored the fact that all of my tracks are written for a reason and sparked by quite intense life changing events behind the scenes, you couldn't write it or maybe I could ! 
Personal choices at the moment are the opener Can't Erase The Memory, I Can and of course the single The Perfect Storm. 

There's a drive and belief that the writing process will continue and my growing knowledge and understanding of not just playing the guitar and instruments but the bringing of all the separate facets together. Put simply I'm addicted to the process which works in harmony in a cathartic way. Medication and meditation through music if you like.
The themes of resilience, belief and positivity remain and the music continues to be guitar driven and punchy with hooks and catchy melodies.  
I'm thankful the creativity continues. The fact the writing and playing still excites and intrigues is a bonus! Where there's a story to tell and a melody to be heard the last song is always my drug for the next.

Latest adventure was the release of 'Green Light' from February 27th 2026. Here I feel the sound and package is truly coherent and the music and production is clearly mine however there's more depth and weight to the tracks. The culmination of my writing, lived experience and growth as a musician that feels instinctive and natural now. After such an intense period of creativity. I was initially afraid that passion would pass however now I'm grateful that isn't the case and the motivation and  enjoyment of creating new pieces and the process continues far beyond my initial expectations. 
So the next album nears its completion half a year again on from the last and I hope you like it.
