The group started its activity in 2008 as a trio (flute, bass clarinet and cello); one year later the first CD by Palomar Records was published; gradually, an original sound has been reached starting from the idea of the musician's roles and hierarchies rotation during performances.
The three different animals (“Kača, Sraka in Lev” which mean, in slovenian language, “the snake, the magpie and the lion") remind us the ever changing relationship between the instrumentalists, without giving them a recurring role. So, the music of the group is like a real ecosystem where relationships, never predetermined, are finalized to a equitable distribution of the compositional responsibility.
The quintet version is newly designed and performs some compositions by Giovanni Maier.
This special project about labour, was premiered at the club “il Carso in Corso” in Monfalcone on the 30th of april 2015 (Labour Day Eve) and was commissioned to Giovanni Maier by “Nuovo Corso” Association, which produced the album; it includes some original compositions that have been coupled with some matching riffs. The thread that has been chosen to represent the idea of labour is rhythm, that has always distinguished human working activities; especially in ancestral societies, music and its rhythm were essential to coordinate working movements.
Performances of Kača, Sraka in Lev represent the evolution of the “rhythm of labour” from an ideal uncontaminated society, where the pulse was maybe more respectful of human needs, to nowadays, where everything has become faster and inhuman; and in which often, unfortunately, there is no labour....
Il gruppo nasce nel 2008 come trio (flauto, clarinetto basso e violoncello) e produce nel 2009 l’omonimo disco per Palomar Records; nel tempo si è plasmato un suono originale partendo dall’idea della rotazione dei ruoli e delle gerarchie dei componenti durante la performance.
I tre diversi animali, chiamati in causa dal nome in lingua slovena (la biscia, la gazza ed il leone), vogliono caratterizzare il rapporto mutevole tra gli strumentisti, senza assegnare quindi un ruolo fisso ad ognuno di loro. Dunque la musica del gruppo si propone come un vero e proprio ecosistema in cui i rapporti, mai predeterminati, sono finalizzati ad una distribuzione equa della responsabilità compositiva. 
La versione in quintetto è di recente ideazione e si confronta con alcune composizioni di Giovanni Maier.
Questo speciale progetto sul Lavoro, presentato nel locale monfalconese “il Carso in Corso” il 30 aprile 2015 (vigilia del Primo Maggio) e commissionato a Giovanni Maier dall’Associazione Nuovo Corso, che ha anche prodotto il CD, prevede alcune composizioni originali che sono state accoppiate con altrettanti moduli ritmici (riffs). Il filo conduttore che è stato infatti scelto per rappresentare il tema del Lavoro è il ritmo, che da sempre contraddistingue le attività lavorative dell’Uomo; soprattutto nelle società ancestrali la musica ed il suo ritmo sono state essenziali per coordinare l’attività lavorativa.
La performance rappresenta l’evoluzione del “ritmo del lavoro” da una ideale società primitiva incontaminata, dove l’andamento è forse più rispettoso delle esigenze umane, per arrivare ai giorni nostri dove tutto è diventato più concitato e inumano; e nella quale il Lavoro spesso, purtroppo, manca …
