deCoy Gallerina: Chiricahua Nde’(Apache), the group Geronimo was from) is a direct descendent of Cochise. Widely known for her bead-work, installation and performance art, she began her training under the tutelage of her grandmother, Minnie Nicholas (full blood Chiricahua Nde’) at the age of 5 in beadwork & painting. She has also been influenced in music and costuming by her aunt and mother, and was costume apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera many summers. She has received an AFA from The Institute of American Indian Arts, BFA’s from College of Santa Fe, CCA; Oakland and San Francisco Art Institute in the areas of: creative writing, printmaking, theater/dance/voice, video, installation and performance art. She has also trained extensively privately and on her own in dance and voice.
Her accomplishments over the course of her artistic career include: presentation of ‘Coytotess Tails Troupe’ Performance & Screening of Real Faces Artivist Interview Project at the DeYoung Museum (San Francisco), completion of a commission by Bob Haozous to produce and exact replica of one of Geronimo’s walking sticks owned by the tribe, commissions for walking sticks by Allan Houser, collaborations and exhibits with Steven Johnson Leyba and Caleb Duarte. She was Coordinator of Komotion International’s gallery and performance space (San Francisco), has done extensive exhibitions and performances (solo and group) including SOMARTS Day of the Dead Exhibition, POW POW POW; currated by Guillermo Gomez Pena (San Francisco), Blood of the Sun Exhibition (Santa Fe). She has been personal assistant for the executive director of the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival and has produced many video and audio projects of her works and interview series and is published and self-published. Does costuming for her own and other’s projects. She has works in many collections. She has performed extensively individually in dance, movement, spoken word, performance art , as well as in tandem with artists such as Bad Unkl Sista Butoh, Jill Parker Tribal Fusion Belly Dance.  She has taught extensively in dance, visual arts, creative writing and comics.

Presently she is exhibiting her various forms of beadwork at the Allan Houser Sculpture Garden Gallery (Santa Fe) and BUS Stop Gallery (San Francisco). She is working on the Chiricahua Nde’ Cultural Restoration Project, which includes deep analysis of cultural artifacts resulting in her producing replicas and originals of these items for the tribes own collection.  She rewrites and performs /embodies the tribe's Coyote Tales (COYOTESS TAILS). 

She grew up between San Francisco and where the tribe is located in Northern New Mexico and Oaklahoma.

Most notably known by his friends and fam as J Green, Grilla is the son of "The Original Bus-Stop Calling" Charlie Green (a DJ known for his classic Chi-Town Steppers Sets). Born and raised on the south east side of Chicago, J Grilla's dj journey began when he would sneak out the house and visit the likes of The Pleasure Dome, The Music Box and the Power Plant. It was at these places where the legends Ron Hardy, Andre Hatchett, Frankie Knuckels, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk and most of all Lil Louis shaped what would ultimately become the signature style of the man called Grilla. Aside from those mentioned Grilla's personal DJ influences include DJ Torin Edmond, DJ Lionel "World" Bordeleon, Paul Hutchison, Rasul Mowat, Rasul Freelain,Ramo, Michael Nalls, Sean Haley, Shaun T, DJ Acid AKA Jim Beam and DJ "Big Will" Dunn. While Grillz 1st choice is house music, he has been known to completely smash a set with select hip-hop, reggae, r&b and steppers tunes. i record everything on 8 track analog..then convert to cassette, then downmix to my VCR player, then i re-dub and spool through a reel to reel i bought off the internet from Lee "Scratch" Perry, then i project the image of the waveforms through a lava lamp onto a white sheet, then i have trained monkey newspaper reporters from the 40's with the hats that have the little white piece of paper that says "press" report the tonal variances to my AP wire, then it is distributed through a complex series of ropes and pullies up to press the image directly onto a 45 wax record so i can spin it at weddings and barmitzphas and rockin funerals.

A rousing support gig with Skid Row's Sebastian Bach in Perth (2008) left the word on everyone's lips that 'Babyjane are the band to watch'. Recently, they have gone from strength to strength – securing airplay on American radio, global release of the album, a week-long prime-time spot on WA's number one radio station 96FM and over 5000 Youtube views of their video single (Are You Listening).

Now, Babyjane have stepped it up a notch. 11 track second album, Make It Sick, was recorded in Nashville, 2012 with Michael Wagener handling production duties from start to finish - the end result is what one industry-insider has described as "the most balls-to-the-wall rock album since Guns n' Roses Appetite For Destruction"... with one-time Motley Crue/Union singer John Corabi making a rousing appearance on the title track.

Corabis’ appearance alone reached first-page news on rock website Blabbermouth.com and unprecedented attention on Google.com in June. Featuring a sound only a world-class producer can muster, hugely commercial tracks like Bad Woman and She’s Just A Liar, and a well-oiled 4-piece band behind it, Babyjane are ready to step into the big league.

Mojoceratops is a fire breathing, sunglasses wearing, funk endowed creature from the Cretaceous period. When the dinosaur extinction happened, he used his funk powers to beam himself to a never ending cosmic dance party in another galaxy. Even though he partied there non-stop for millions of years, he still kept an eye out for his former planet. One day he noticed that the parties on this beautiful blue world had become unfunky. Right then he decided to travel back in order to write a bunch of dance hits that would keep Earth parties from becoming boring and lame.

This quartet was formed in March of 2011 when long time musical comrades Jerome D'Agostino and Brent Penman met veteran producer, bassist Robert Felsted Jr. The next step was to add a super bad-ass villian guitarist who could crank out some overdriven purple volcano lightning over the groups tunes. This addition of Schweers finished the high-energy dance party lineup. 


In a mere two months they have recorded an album of 11 dance party hits, honed their live show in the Philadelphia club scene and have used social networking sites like facebook to reach out to fans in the tri-state area. With a modern, yet danceable sound, radio friendly hooks and playful lyrics. This is one project with serious traction from the start.

Mojoceratops is a plant eater about the size of a hippopotamus, appearing about 75 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous 10 million years earlier than its well-known cousin, the Triceratops.   



The species, which is related to another dinosaur in Texas, is found only in Canada's Alberta and Saskatchewan provinces and was short-lived, having survived for only about one million years. 

" 'mojo' is an early 20th-century African-American term meaning a magic charm or talisman, often used to attract members of the opposite sex," The full name is Mojoceratops perifania, with "perifania" meaning pride in Greek.

Brian Gillespie is a music aficionado and has used his passion and knowledge in various arenas in the music industry. His love of music moved him in the dj realm where he began to open for such acts as A Tribe Called Quest, Souls of Mischief, De La Soul, George Clinton, Jamiroquai, Public Enemy, Dave Clarke and Advent.. [Soft Break]Here, he brought in such acts as: Slum Village, Jay Dilla, Tricky, Galactic, Cut Chemist, Peanut Butter Wolf and others. In the Mid 90's he took the plunge into the after hours and Rave Scene being responsible for the famous 'Poor Boy' parties at Detroit's historical Packard Plant. He was one of the top resident Djs at the famous Motor Lounge for over 6 years.   He is responsible for the formation and the business operation of many record labels including: Blue Collar Projects Records, Chairman of the Board, D.E.T. Only, Twilight 76, Databass, Throw and Rewind Records. He was also responsible for the signing of 'The Detroit Grand Pubahs' to Jive Records and the famous hit 'Sandwiches'. He is respected as a collector of music with his personal tastes ranging from Detroit Funk, Spiritual  Jazz to Boogie, Hip Hop to Electro, Techno, Bass.   

He started to DJ in the early nineties out of WPHS in Warren and was instrumental in bringing hip hop and electronic music communities together. His musical palate encompasses Detroit Jazz, rare groove, funk, hip hop, house, electro, and techno. Brian’s greatest influences have been hip hop and techno artists from Detroit and his friends around him. He acquired a great amount of knowledge from artists and Djs he met while working at Record Time’s Dance room in Roseville, MI from 1992- 1999. In 1993 he began promoting warehouse parties throughout the Midwest under the name Poorboy at places like the Packard with longtime friends Dat Duong and Jon Santos. They brought in acts such as Claude Young, Carl Craig (paperclip people live), and Theo Parrish, Jeff Mills & first one to have Funk, & Hip Hop, Ghetto tech Booty room.    Brian had the Vision and Golden Ear for Detroit talent early on. His contribution to the hip hop scene included running one of Detroit's first all  Funk, Soul, Hip Hop  music nights called Family Funktion- at the now legendary Alvin's nightclub.  Gillespie & (Cousin)  D.L. Jones  was instrumental in bringing live bands and DJs together playing jazz, funk, soul and hip hop. They booked acts like Phat Kat, Eminem, J Dilla and Slum Village, Theo Parrish, Galactic, and Tricky Cut Chemist, Peanut Butter Wolf, Moodymann. Family Funktion celebrated a 15 year reunion at Alvin’s in Detroit last year with Dennis Coffey & Recloose , Detroit Motown funk brother.  

Aside from DJing, another important influence of Brian’s career came from working at Record Time as the buyer for the dance room from 1992 - 1999. It was here that he came to know many renowned Detroit musicians including Mike Huckaby, Rick Wade, Will Web, Patrick Scott Grooves,  Dan Bell and Claude Young.  From 2000 – 2005 he was Manager/Buyer for Hearwax Records in three DJ Supply stores. He has also worked with Ron Murphy of National Sound Corporation. He has conducted lectures at the legendary submerge building. One of his most lucrative projects is being DJ Starski of Starski and Clutch. He and Todd Osborn played live and put out the popular mix CD “Don’t stop til you JIT enough” and ghetto tech album “Detroit Hustle”. (Databass records)   Gillespie, with Rick Sadlowski and DJ Godfather distributed Detroit records for about 16 years and still operate electrobounce.com, an online MP3 store and distributor dedicated to pushing and promoting underground dance music such as Detroit Ghetto Tech, Chicago Ghetto House, Juke, Electro, Baltimore Club, and Techno.  

As a member of Detroit Red Bull Music Academy for the last 7 years, he has interviewed Dennis Coffey, Claude Von Stroke, Mike Huckaby, Anthony “Shake” Shakir, DJ Houseshoes, Clark Warner, D.L. Jones, DJ Dick, Todd Osborn,  Ectomorph and other legendary musicians, as well as conducted lectures. He is currently promoting and recruiting for the 2011 Red Bull Music Academy to be held in Tokyo.    

 This is  just the short version of my Bio. My love and passion Music come from my friends and people (djs & producers ) I worked with over the 20 years in the Detroit Music Scene that inspire me.
