Sam Girling - Summer Closing Mix - 24' ⊹ ˚.

March marks my 28th year around the sun, and whilst I was away with some friends celebrating, we were reminiscing on the festivals and shows we went to in 2024. There were lots to pick from, whether it was nights at Fabric, or Phonox, or a day party at The Cause. Then in the summer months, GALA to to start, in the middle Glasto and Waterworks to round things off. But undoubtedly, the best festival experience I had last year, was at Houghton. It was my first ever time, and it absolutely blew my head off. Getting my ears shattered (in a good way) at Earthling, keeping things going at Terminus, and having just a sick old time in the woods.  

This mix is a nod to that festival, and whilst I'm not nearly on par with any of the fantastic djs and producers, their music inspired me with the tunes played here. In particular, the Hessle boys and Joy O really took the biscuit for me and I hope at least with this mix, you can enjoy some tunes that I think even they would like. 

I really tried to mix up different tempos and genres' which I'm loving at the moment, so shoot me if the mixing isn't perfect! (please don't)

It's Friday, so whatever you're doing, whether it's having a pint, going on a run, a cotch up, or going out out, and stick this on whilst you get ready for your weekend.

Hen's House - 003 - Stop Larkin' About

April is done and dusted, and things are looking up in the UK weather wise. We move into the summer with b2b bank holidays, so for this month’s mix, I thought no better way to celebrate the sunshine than some fun bouncy house.

April was fun and I was lucky to do a lot of cool things, including closing out Colour Factory on an impromptu set for Altego, which was very fun.

I’ve been listening to a fair bit more house of late, and been enjoying a lot of minimal and deep house, which has inspired the tracklist of this compilation, with some Stop Larkin’ About flavours.

Get your sunny’s on, pour a drink, and throw this lil mix on to help enjoy the sunshine.
