OSSX is the pairing of New Jersey-based producers Lektor Scopes & EQUISS. Already known for a slew of self-released edits, the duo take things to head-clearing heights with their debut EP of original tracks. Melbourne based artist Dashiell debuts on Felt Sense Records with five hazy cuts, including a remix from Salt Mines co-founder Rudolf C. Dashiell is a Melbourne born and raised DJ & Producer and a member of production group Menage alongside Sam Brickel, who released a track on Kia's Animalia imprint back in June 2020. Dashiell is a devotee to glitch & minimal musical styles, which shine through in his 'Going Nowhere Fast' EP on Melbourne label Felt Sense Records. The EP features a collection of tracks recorded over several years in some of Dash's ever-evolving bootleg studio setups like laundry spaces, and leaky tin sheds. The EP opener 'Aspect' sees Dashiell invite Steeplejack artist Sam Brickell to feature. The track offers fluttering grooves, hypnotic pads and spacey, humming low frequencies before 'Going Nowhere Fast' lays down breaky rhythms, tripped-out fx and twinkling synths underneath. Up next, 'Oxy' takes things into minimal territories as the shimmering bassline fuse delicately with moody textures and dubbed-out vibrations whilst 'Scratching The Surface' features ambient atmospheres, breezy soundscapes and glistening melodies. To finish, Berlin-based Australian producer and Co-Founder of the Salt Mines label rolls out a loopy remix of 'Going Nowhere Fast' as he blends trippy electronics and murky tonality.

Going Nowhere Fast

PREMIERE : Dashiell feat. Sam Brickel - Aspect

The label’s inaugural release unites contributions of 4 artists, with a common ground of techy, playfully modern-sounding tracks with a serious edge and a decent amount of bleeps.  The A-Side opens with a springy, chirpy, minimal tech groover by Berlin-based Rudolf C. It has a light, yet discernible shuffle that drives the track towards a smooth and sunny vibe. Tristan Arp from Mexico is draggin us into water with his captivating aquatic breakbeat groover. At times meditative, at times hectic, it keeps the mind busy with bubbles and waves.
On the flipside, things move forward at a higher pace. 
De Lichting co-founder and Amsterdam-based queniv is teleporting us into a darker environment with a minimal-ish, electro-ish tech nightmare with a merciless groove and little relief.
O-Wells, Die Orakel regular, rounds off the EP with an euphoric, light and choppy, garage-ish track with a restrained, suspenseful energy that only gets unleashed towards the end.

"Looney Tools" is an ep that take his roots from two tracks that were never going to come out. Croix Rouge and LSMD are really close friend of us, and we really wanted to take the opportunity to release their tune, as it was a shame that those track were still unreleased after all this year.
Siu Mata and Amor Satyr, decide to build two other track in the same mood, so we could have a nice 4 track EP for you guys.

The result is a fast BPM EP, with some cartoon/moovie samples mixed with Juke and Drum & Bass rythm.
We're really happy with it, as it shift a little bit the direction of the label from our previous release.
