A totally obsessed music collector specializing in anything and everything quality, with an unhealthy desire to share and introduce people to sounds they may not have already heard.  

Grew up on a steady diet of hip hop, rock, soul, and r&b and was introduced to the party scene in Detroit & Toronto. Quickly fell in love with Detroit techno after hearing Jeff Mills' 'Live at the Liquid Room'. Sold and promoted live DJ sets burned onto CDs at parties all over the Detroit area in the early 2000's, and began obsessively collecting techno/house tracks in 2003. Decided the collection needed to be shared in 2007, and learned to mix/blend w/laptop and midi controller before having an audio interface, which at the time meant no headphones.  

After many years of being a techno purist, all the other influences began to seep back in, which inspired The Soul Pickle events in 2011. With the help of the rizumu crew, The Soul Pickle has hosted the likes of Eddie C, DJ Nature, Rick Wilhite, Jamie 3:26, Rick Wade, Mike Simonetti, Social Disco Club, Anthony Mansfield, DeWalta, Vincent Lemieux, Sergio Santos, Secrets, Pontchartrain, Dave Aju, and Titonton Duvante!

So far AJ has played in Detroit, New York, DC, Baltimore, and all over Philly. Now enjoying the wonderful world of headphones, CDJs, and occasionally vinyl, he dreams of sharing his diverse taste with music lovers worldwide..

I have an unhealthy obsession for anime. Particularly one about swimmers with questionable sexualities. You'll very well see I have a love for these boys and they are my babies. Shush and let me listen to their wonderful voices now thank you.

I've also started expanding on my trash alternative rock interest. Also I'm not big on the following thing yet. So yeah.

Was born in Houston, lived there till i was about 8 then did the rest of my growing up in the east texas town of Lufkin. I was a natural athlete in my school days but at the age of 16 several sports knee injuries had me housebound for months at a time, which for any active person is hell, and only so much tv and video games could keep me busy so i eventually picked up my sisters old guitar and printed out some guitar lessons and learned how to play decently, and other friends helped me with my lessons, then after more operations and more houseboundness and more cabin fever i got a keyboard for Christmas. A friend at my church gave me a few lessons, and my aunt gave me a how to book on playing the piano and i was off. But years later my dreams as a pro athlete died with many more sports injuries, and with all the injuries came a eventual habit for opiates. Long story short after overdoses, rehabs, feuds with my (wonderful) family, and unhealthy relationships, and with multiple delivery/possession and theft charges i winded up in a Texas prison for almost 2 years. Best and worst time of my life, it was hell, but i had lot of time to self reflect, re-connect with my family and friend, met lots of people WAY worse off than me and was shown how truly blessed a life i have and not to take anything for granted, and for almost 10 years i could never sing and play at the same time, but i learned shortly after i was released. So now im trying to fine tune my singing and songwriting ability since those are new to me. I hope you like the music let me know what you think.

the D, "D", a short letter, one letter, neither a name, nor a syllable, nor a sound. A letter and nothing else. Chosen almost by accident, because it had a nice sound, a beautiful shape. Chosen because screamed till spasm by Jack Black in the film "Tenacius D and the pick of destiny". the D were born in Avellino in 2010, no precise chronological reference, no name. Four faces, four players for four pseudonyms. the Dabbler, original name Giuseppe Matarazzo (frontman recovering from a decade-long punk love story) and the Danger, in the world Ciriaco Aufiero (guitarist psychotic with Slash-like curls) listening to another garage-revival track, they formulated the unhealthy idea to bring together the best of the worst that the Avellino's periphery  could offer to the gods of rock. Instantly were recruited the Dandy  Foam, aka Andrea Fiordalisi (drummer and worldwide ballbraker) and the Damned aka Vincenzo Golia D'Augé (bass no less psychotic than the Danger, with origins dating back to the north of France). The four showed themselves to the public in February of 2011, with some cover by the Arctic Monkeys, Strokes, Jet, Franz Ferdinand, Pixies, Wolfmother etc..
At the beginning of 2012 they recorded their first unedited track, "the book of Guinness". May 12, 2012 performing for the last time with the Dandy Foam, abducted by aliens, was replaced by the Dario aka Dario Botta (former guitarist, pianist, cellist, trumpeter and wonderful latin lover).

Grace Hamilton is the prepper pen-name for a bad-ass, survivalist momma-bear of four kids, and wife to a wonderful husband. After being stuck in a mountain cabin for six days following a flash flood, she decided she never wanted to feel so powerless or have to send her kids to bed hungry again. Now she lives the prepper lifestyle and knows that if SHTF or TEOTWAWKI happens, she’ll be ready to help protect and provide for her family.

Combine this survivalist mentality with a vivid imagination (as well as a slightly unhealthy day dreaming habit) and you get a prepper fiction author. Grace spends her days thinking about the worst possible survival situations that a person could be thrown into, then throwing her characters into these nightmares while trying to figure out "What SHOULD you do in this situation?"

It’s her wish that through her characters, you will get to experience what life will be like and essentially learn from their mistakes and experiences.

The goal, in as basic of terms possible, is to make beautiful sounds. Whether it's plugged in and loud or not - I want to create tunes that at times remind you of that awesome weather you had last week; that time you went pond swimming with some babe; the moment in 8th grade when you looked around during the fitness tests in gym and thought 'man, i'm an unhealthy piece of shit', but then you dominate everyone in the sit and reach portion. 

What makes those moments so great is your perception of the bad, being able to compare the two, and noticing the transition between them. By 'bad', I do not mean depressed, and not dejected; just that state in which you feel content with being routine. Where the normal occurrences of any day are expected, processed, and carried out without much reaction. That solitary state where you act accordingly to your environment, to the point where it seems involuntary.  

And don't you dare think I'm simply elaborating on the phrase 'take for granted'. Humans are not able to understand anything without also understanding its opposite. All people do this, some just take advantage of situations better than others. 

When you think about it, can you ever really pinpoint that moment where you go from somewhat-meh to spectacular? To feeling absolutely wonderful? I can't, and I don't believe we truly live while recognizing that moment of astonishment. Once that feeling is over, we once again have something lesser to compare it to. We are able to identify that it is gone much more effectively than when it initially arrives. 

And so our goal is to capture those healthily selfish moments of amazement, as well as the states in between where your conscience feels disconnected, and make the listener remember them both in real time.

Being a 14-year-old senseless gamer with the seemingly permanent title of "Console Peasant" (no thanks to you, "PC master race" *evil glare*), and living with an unhealthy obsession with Assassins Creed and Haribos, music happens to be one of those wonderful little things that stops her from yelling her frustration out to the world. What kind of frustration? The type where you open a packet of Haribos wrong, and so your fridge ends up exploding and nyan cats can no longer fly. That's right - There's NOTHING more annoying than exploding fridges and flightless nyan cats.
Take my word for it.

Formed in 2015, Jack and the Darling Ones are a theatrical five piece band from Dublin. In their short time together they have graced a variety of stages from Sin É, the Grand Social, Whelan’s to the Button Factory. Delving into dark themes exhibited through a fusion of Blues, Folk and Rock; the Darling Ones have drawn attention for their intense energetic live performances while telling the narrative of Jack and his Carnival.
