Since launching the Datsik brand, Troy Beetles continues to evolve as a solo artist all the while pushing his beloved bass music world to new lengths, both on a personal artistry level and as a genre as a whole. From bedroom producer to chart-topping artist, internationally touring act, and owner and founder of the enterprising Firepower Records, Datsik is poised to make bass music the sound of the future with his recent Down 4 My Ninjas EP (Nov. 2014 / Firepower Records) and upcoming release Smoke Bomb ft. Snoop Dogg (Nov. 2015 / Ultra Records). 

Datsik took his initial steps into global dominance in 2009 with his first official release, the Nuke ‘Em EP, which set the new precedence of the future of dubstep and bass music. Immediately following that was the Boom EP featuring Excision and the legendary Flux Pavilion as collaborators. In that same year, Datsik claimed 10 Beatport #1 releases. Additionally, he has also released massive remixes for dance music icons Skrillex, Diplo, Kaskade, and Zedd, as well as two collaborations with Bassnectar and two more with Diplo on his Express Yourself EP. He has also remixed artists from the mainstream pop world and hip-hop spheres such as Coldplay, Lil Wayne, MGMT, Linkin Park, Wu-Tang Clan, one of the biggest influences on his sound, and, most recently, Lana Del Rey.

Nonetheless, Vitamin D, his debut artist album released on Dim Mak Records in 2012, remains his gleaming trophy of work. Rightfully so, as Vitamin D was the first project to illustrate the full spectrum of Datsik’s production cannon and to give glimpses of the artist’s potential as a producer and songwriter. Vitamin D was the first major milestone of many to come in the Datsik storyline. The next chapter came in 2013 in the form of a two-part release, the Cold Blooded EP and the corresponding Let It Burn full-length album, both released on Firepower. While shorter in length, Cold Blooded packs as much a punch as big brother Let It Burn. Hand in hand, Cold Blooded and Let It Burn comprise the knockout one-two punch in Datsik’s artillery.

Datsik stands at a point of transition with his recent EP Down 4 My Ninjas. It exemplifies a more mature Datsik, both in sound and in vision, as it sees the producer taking vast steps outside of dubstep and deeper into his ever-burning fondness for hip-hop. In essence, it is his love letter to the hip-hop and bass music genres and sees a full circle for Datsik as it combines the best of both worlds. Featuring collaborations with DJ Paul of renowned Southern rap group Three 6 Mafia and the legendary KRS-One, Down 4 My Ninjas sees Datsik keeping one foot in bass and one foot in hip-hop and, for the first time ever, sees the artist pairing his original productions with bona fide, universally celebrated members of the rap world. 

With Down 4 My Ninjas in tow and a hefty supporting tour scheduled for 2015, expectations are higher than they’ve ever been for Datsik. Beetles welcomes the challenge, though. It’s what’s kept him developing since those bedroom producer days, and it’s what verifies Datsik as one of the leading figures in the bass music scene of today and tomorrow.

Founded in 1989, in Los Angeles, Pop Machine took a bit of indie pop, a slurry of rock, a dollop of satire, and a trainload of WTF, and shaped them into its current amorphous form.

Lushawn Clinton, known by his stage name Poppi was born in Newark,NJ.  He is one of the many grandchildren of the legendary godfather of funk George Clinton. When Pop was 7, he moved to Atlanta, GA with his father and younger brother . Although he is the grandson of the superstar legend, once his father left touring on the road to spend more time with his kids financially things started to spiral down hill. As a kid, Pop moved around a lot attending about 8 different schools before graduating in 2010. He got into music early in life experimenting with rapping while using anything to make a hip hop beat. It wasn’t until he was 16 and moved to Tallahassee with his uncle that he found a real passion for recording music. His uncle George Clinton III, also known as GC3 was the first person to actually take him seriously in music. With this new love for hip hip, Pop hooked up with his cousin down south to form the group Throwback ENT. They recorded numerous songs but never put out a full length project.  The next year pop would move back to Atlanta with his father but kept writing and recording and taking his music very seriously, just as his uncle instilled in him. Senior year, after school one afternoon he received the terrible news that his mentor and very much loved uncle had died. Pop was devastated. He then made a promise to his uncle that he would keep making music until it was no longer a hobby. 

Since then, the artist of Throwback ENT went their separate ways, but Pop was still determined to keep his promise to his uncle. That same year Pop moved back to his hometown of Newark NJ reconnecting with friends and family that are all very encouraging to his music career. To help pay for studio time, Pop began working at the airport. At that time, Pop would record his first full length mixtape “LOVE IZ PAIN” which was released late 2013. “Love is Pain” would also feature his cousin Muhammad whom he just reconnected with after about 10 years. Pop was extremely excited to be in the studio with his cousin recording. They recorded a song entitled “AMERICAN DREAM,” and both were amazed of how well the song turned out. Unfortunately, June 17 2013 right after getting off the phone to wish his father a happy birthday, tragedy struck again, Pop would get a devastating call telling him that his cousin Muhammad (whom he had just recorded with) had been shot. Pop rushed down to the hospital to be with family and to check on his cousin, but with little to no help or info from from authorities, they didn’t know whether he survived or died. It wouldn’t be until the next morning that the Pop’s cousin was pronounced dead. Pop was crushed. He again began to wonder was music really meant for him. It seemed as if the people who believed in him and he worked closest with were leaving him. 

Once again he was left to make another promise, this time to his cousin as well as his uncle that he will make it and get his voice heard. Pop put the song on the mixtape and dedicated it to his lost cousin, it was the first and last record they recorded together. To date, Pop continues to grind with his recent mixtape “BLOOD OF A LEGEND”  which dropped spring 2014. Young Pop is making a lot of noise on the hip hop scene doing shows and continuously recording. Pop is looking forward to the future and is determined to be the best at whatever it is he does. He is following in the foot steps of his grandfather and looking to make a legacy for himself.

Formed in 2016, Dysfunction love nothing more than playing live. Whether it's a gig at Big Music in Crows Nest where the band was formed or playing Frankie's Pizza in the heart of Sydney, touring and performing is what it's all about. 

The band's capacity to light up the stage saw them chosen to play Moshfest Sydney in 2017 and by mid 2018 they'd won the coveted Triple M Gotcha4Life band competition resulting in their debut single "It's Over" being recorded and released on Triple M. They went on to win the inaugural Northern Composure Unplugged that same year, judged by INXS's Kirk Pengilly. 

"In Circles", the band's debut EP, was released in 2019 with the title track being picked up by Triple J Unearthed and other radio stations around the country. A win at RockFest Sydney saw the band play the national final in Melbourne and by the end of 2019 their single "Reject Anthem" was streaming worldwide. In 2020 they released "The Mourning After" with the single charting at No. 1 on the Triple J Unearthed Punk & Pop Charts and No. 3 across all genres.

2021/22 was equally busy for the band as they cemented themselves on the Sydney circuit with gigs at Frankie's, the Agincourt, the Burdekin, the Crowbar, the Factory, the Duke and Kellys.

Dysfunction's music is fast, loud and full of energy and its themes pay homage to the tribulations of carving out a meaningful life in our ever-changing world.

Future Form is an American indie rock/dream pop project from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in early 2013 by Dustin Phillips. All songs are written/arranged/recorded by Phillips in his home studio.

To date, Future Form has released one EP, tu me manques (2014) to critical acclaim. Tu me manques centers around Phillips’ hiatus from music creation since the disbanding of his previous band The Escape Frame while lyrically creating a window into his personal life.
