Anthem Noise is a Boston based darkwave alternative band with original music and art by an Emmy award winning composer. Our band consists of a live violinist, male vocalist, a drummer and 80s style synths.

With tough times come great lessons, as with great gain comes great sacrifice.  MarzRomain is no stranger to any of these.  Born and raised in the south side of Harrisburg, PA as one of 12 siblings (6 brothers and 6 sisters), MarzRomain found herself constantly surrounded by music and at an early age learned that music is the expression of life.  
As a young kid growing up, Marz listened to what she describes as “grown up music”, which was the music that her older siblings and parents listened to.  This allowed her to gain a deeper appreciation and understanding for music at a young age.  As a result, this allowed Marz to develop a mature and unique flow and deliver, which is inherently missing from Hip Hop today.  
Having been influenced by true wordsmiths such as Antonio Hardy, Kris Parker, Shawn Carter, Rakim, and Nasir Jones to name a few, studying under these greats, MarzRomain received the necessary tutelage from the best emcees to ever graces any stage or microphone.  Inspired as a small child from classics such as “Going Back To Cali”, and “Ain’t No Half Steppin”, MarzRomain studied music and learned that it’s the vibration that comes together in sync to make one sound.  
“Music became life and life became music.  Music expresses and evokes emotion.  It says the things that sometimes we can’t say.  It’s been there with me through good times, bad times, wasted, elated…. Music has hugged me on the most loneliest days, partied with me on my most wasted nights, and filled in all the gaps in between when bored.  Music is love, love is life, and I’m truly in love with music….”  
MarzRomain began writing songs in 2006, but failed to find the proper footing or push to begin her movement.  Fast forward years later after experiencing many life changing situations, including the loss of her brother to gun violence, MarzRomain decided to pick up the mic and commit those life experiences and lessons over music.  Armed with a long history of tutelage from great emcees, a stellar understanding of music, and a resume of life, MarzRomain is committed to tell her side, share her life, and expound on her experiences using this thing we call music.
“I’m head over heals for this vibration called music.  For it is in me.  We are all connected on a different frequency that no one else can tune into.  I feel the pull.  When something is destined, no matter where you are, who you are, or what you’re doing, it will find you.  For me, its music…..”
