Born in Detroit, DJ Offbeat was quickly transplanted to Sao Paolo where he developed a love for classic Brasilian rhythms and melodies. Building from a foundation of soul and jazz, DJ Offbeat fuses future funky sounds with blazing Brasilian and African rhythms. He spins an innovative, jazzy blend of afrobeat, Brasilian batucadas, Afro-Latin jazz, and funky broken beats, presenting a modern reinterpretation of traditional ethnic grooves. 

Currently residing in Brooklyn, New York, he is the guiding force behind FutureHistoryOfHouse, SOUL FUNKTION, onda brasileiro, and is a resident DJ and regular contributor to Music Is Everything. 

Combining his diverse musical tastes, DJ Offbeat is expanding the boundaries of music as you know it.
