Indie rock alterna-pop power trio

Since dropping the critically-acclaimed debut EP Altitudes in late 2016, among Ottawa Showbox’s ten picks for Top Local Albums that year, Sleepy and the Noise has been getting to know a growing fanbase at intimate venues, sharing the stage with some of Canada’s veteran and emerging musical talents. The blend of inventive lyrics and grungy, melodic vocals of Christian Pasiak with fuzzy driving rhythms and dynamic instrumentals frequently draw listener comparisons to artists such as Dinosaur Jr., Pavement and John K Samson. Their first single Mountains and Valleys charted on college radio and Sleepy and the Noise has since been in regular rotation, with a 2018 release currently in the works.
