After watching the news about the volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland, the four-piece post-rock band Laxá composed the first track of their new album as a result. 

Entititled "Eldensgill," which translates as "Fire Angel", it melds post rock and classical elements provided by the Heima Quartet.

The band members are:

Andrea came up with some fabulous lyrics to work with , and this Rocker is the result , we love it , hope you do ! Next up is a lovely ballad with lyrics by the wonderful Tony Harris , out on the 15th . An actual cover is out after that , Summer in Dublin by Bagatelle , I've played it live but never recorded it . Then a cracking song called Lucas , just finished a belter with Gaz and Nat , release date to be sorted . Waiting in the wings are songs by me and Charlotte , and me and Blaffy . So , busy as usual .
