The music of HURAKAN is based on tribal rhythms and modern beats. Drums and flutes made out of clay and wood, seashells, bones and seeds, are part of the distinctive sounds of the band.  Beautifully poetic passages and lyrics are written in both Spanish and Nahuatl. HURAKAN will offer the audience an experience to explore the importance of historical memory and cultural pride. In addition HURAKAN also projects the sensation of empowerment through the celebration of diversity and unity, or just simply a trip.

Jah Harvest is something new to the Reggae scene, started by Wyatt Sage(Guitar/Vox) and Jeremy Jones(Bass) in Feb. of 2010.Shortly there after Jah Harvest completed their rythm section with Zach Foust(Drums), then in Nov. 2010 started their horn section with David Terry(Trumpet). Made up from this group of musicians with a wide variety of styles ranging in anything from the expected Reggae infulences like the Marley's, SOJA, Sizzla Kalonji, Dennis Brown, Tribal Seeds, all the way to artist and generes you would never think of such as Travis Baker, A7X, Atreyu, Zion I, K'naan, and the list goes on and on. It's not hard to see why Jah Harvest doesn't quite have that traditional Reggae sound. When Frontman Wyatt Sage was asked about where Jah Harvest gets there sound from, this is what he had to say, "We arn't trying to sound like classic Roots Reggae, thats not who we are so why try and act like it is. That classic Roots Reggae sound came from what those artist were feeling back then and where they where from, our sound comes from the same feeling but we are from different parts of the world so our spin on the sound just happens to be a little more Rock than Reggae even though the messege is still there just a strong. The messege is what matters" The "messege" that Sage is spreading is a messege of progress and betterment for your community through self assumption. This messege is clearly heard in Songs like "Choices" and "Slogans". Since 2010 Jah Harvest has been working at a feverish pace. In the 2 years since the band has started they have written and released thier first EP titled Jah Harvest, available on a number of online retailers such as Itunes and Amazon MP3, they also have quickly built a loyal fan base as well as an impressive/busy schedule of shows at venues ranging anywhere from the local bar that holds 50 people all the way up the the House of Blues main stage that holds 2,200 people. In the years to come Jah Harvest is determined to continue to spread a positive messege through the power of a positive music. As this band continues to grow, we look forward to seeing the fan base grow, and we thank everyone for all the support they have shown. This Reggae movement is bigger than music and much much bigger than Jah Harvest, we will see you soon.

 Juno hails from Suriname, & has played and performed with many legends. His 1st musical experience in the U.S. was jamming with Bobby Keys, saxophone player from the Rolling Stones, at Woody's on the Beach, a club owned by Rolling Stone's guitarist Ron Wood. He also had the opportunity to jam with Tito Puente during a tribute to legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius.
In 1990, Guno relocated to Texas to join the well-known reggae band The Killer Bees. He wrote, recorded & performed with The Killer Bees throughout the U.S. and Europe for over 10 years. After the Killer Bees, he played & toured with other Austin based bands such as Ragga Massive and Papa Mali.
In 2003, Guno auditioned for Patrick Leonard, producer & songwriter for Madonna, Pink Floyd, Elton John & many other big named acts. Guno was chosen and moved to Los Angeles to work with Mr. Leonard.
Guno plays many styles of music, including funk. He has played with Bernie Worrellfrom Parliament Funkadelic/Talking Heads, Leo Nocentelli from The Meters, Cyril Neville from the Neville Brothers & Papa Mali.

Reggae is another style that Guno is competent playing. He recently toured & played with The Itals, Sister Carol, Glen Washington, Yami Bolo & Army at venues & Reggae Festivals throughout the U.S.
As proof of his musical versatility, he has also recorded & played with Willy Nelsonand Pete Segeer.

Kenny has played and or toured with: Horace Andy, The Mighty Diamonds, Charlie Chaplin, Josie Wales,Cutty Ranks, Al Brown, Lone Ranger, Tristan Palmer, Carl Livingston, Barrington Levy, Big Youth, The Itals, and Sister Carol.

Their first recording together is the upcoming (2016) Sirus B Posse album, singles to be released soon.

Berte 'Federico aka DJ Berto was born on 14/07/1981 in Bologna. The seeds of his passion for music grew thanks his brother, a keen collector of vinyl records from the early 90's. This gave Berto, exposure to house, techno, snap Africa bambataa, moby and various styles of alternative rock. In '98 Berto became a keen visitor to Echoes & Cocorico', riviera's best club, while years later trips were made to Ibiza and more importantly, a life changing experience, in Frankfurt, at cocoon club. It was at cocoon were Berto began to listen to avant garde music with DJs such as Karotte and genres such as funky house, Chicago house and tribal house mix with experimental electronic.
He performed for three consecutive years every Friday at Judith atelier, a bar made famous for its nightlife and music, which was greatly received by the public until 2004.
His passion for DJing became more evident and Berto first steps in the club scene were played in the infamous Bologna night scene at matis, kinky, hut privee', kinder garten privee ', and in the latter stages, at soda pops with members Tito and rain. It was at Soda Pops were the trio founded the craziest night in the bologna music scene aptly named tag party; where he plays various music styles techno, tech house and funky house glitch
members with rain and Tito. 

William Buchanan, Better known by his stage name Yahru El Guru Dj (YEGDJ) born November 15, 1976 in Walnut Creek, California. Is a Heavy Bass, Reggae, and Dub-Stepping Dj. Who has shared stages and Dj booths with, The Wailers, Mad Professor, Collie Buds, DJ Peanut Butter Wolf, and Israel Vibration, to name a few

YEGDJ, Began his career as a professional Dj in 2006 by landing himself a residency at Martini Ranch Denver, one of Denver’s Co. busiest downtown clubs. Six successful months later, YEGDJ, was offered to open up for Mad Professor, A disciple of Lee "Scratch" Perry and a leading producers in dub reggae's second generation. Now inspired by one of the greatest and teamed up with Denver’s leading Reggae promoter, Reggaemovement.com, YEGDJ, earned himself a Friday night Residency at Kazmos night club, the longest running Reggae and Electronic Music Bar in Denver. 


Word traveled about YEGDJ scratching his CDJS like a violin and dropping some of the wickedest tracks in Denver that Club 101, the largest club in Boulder Co. awarded him with a Thursday night residency. Boulder Co. being a large Collage town and Club 101 being the only dance club, it gave YEGDJ the opportunity to experiment with crossing Reggae, Hip-hop, and Dub to a live crowd. Keep in mind that in between Spinning Denver and Boulder Co. YEGDJ has already shared the stage with international artist Sly and Robbie,B Side Players, and Dr Israel at The Famous Fox Theater.

Around this time, YEGDJ Partnered with Club Mystery Denver Co. and started promoting electronic and Dub Reggae Events. Packing the house with his Black as Night, Something Sexy, and Katum parties. Bringing in Drum & Bass, Break Beat, Trance, and Reggae artist Goldie, Keith Mackenzie, Ramiro Puente, and General Smiley. Between Clubs and events, YEGDJ has blessed the stages with international artist Midnite, Yellow Man, Mikey General,Luciano, Army, Judge Rough Neck,  the Abyssinians, Lion Souljahs, and Disciples. In between time, YEGDJ was spinning between local bandsTatanka, Irie Still, Apex Vibe, and The Reggae on Broadway Series at Herman’s Hideaway.

Climbing up the ladder, YEGDJ, found himself a Friday night Residency at one of Denver Co. top five clubs, Club Vinyl. Giving him the opportunity to share the crowd with artist. E- 40, U.N.I.,DJ Statik Selektah, Asher Roth, and Das EFX. This guy is unstoppable!

Moving forward from Club Vinyl, YEGDJ continued to grace the stage with international artist Anthony B, Don Carlos, and Eka Mouse, at the Oriental Theater and Cervantes Concert Hall. In which YEGDJ Met and linked up with Blacka Stone Production and Da Fyyah House Concert Hall. Now holding residency at Da Fayyah House, YEGDJ, kept the Club jumping for famous artist The Itals, Jah Culture, Majeik Fashik, and Mr. Majestic to name a few.

2010
YEG.DJ, with another successful year, bringing it in with Pato Banton (Now Generation Band) and Spellbinder at Cervantes Master Piece Ball Room in Denver Co. YEG.Dj’s, 2009 arsenal of UK Banging Bass, Dubstep, and Reggae Remixes has proved to be a hit with the fans, party goers, and the kids. We found this out at the Funky Buddha August 15th at an early evening show, when groups of people, fans and friends showed up with their little ones, to enjoy the sounds of Dj and Producer Cosmic Diva (New Orleans/ San Franscio), Dj Bradburn (East Coast), Native American Flute Player William H.Buchanan (San Diego Ca.) playing long side YEG.DJ’s awesome Dreadstep set.


Keeping the fire burning, YEG.Dj, without a doubt linked up with one of Colorado’s top Reggae/Roots Djs, Dj Uplifter, to drop a duo set on KGNU Radio station which got much applause and a great attendance of listeners.


YEG.DJ, still moving forward, got booked for the Tribal Seeds Concert at Cervantes Master Piece Ball Room to open up for Tribal Seeds. A band with heavy influence from Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, and Midnite, this new and unique group brings a refreshing rock vibe to roots style reggae music. 


YEG.Dj’s awesome performance at the Tribal Seeds Concert at Cervantes, landed him an invitation to open up for Beres Hammond. One of the Kings of lover’s rock who’s career began in the 1970s, and reached his greatest success in the 1990s. YEG.DJ’s set was like no other. His remixes of Lovers Rock to Dubstep, Hip Hop, and Dub, set the room ablaze.
Still keeping the fire blazing, YEG.Dj performed with a local band named Judge Roughneck at Herman’s Hideaway. This was the perfect warm up for his next major opening gig with UB40, a Pop Reggae Band with hit songs like Red Red Wine and Food For Thought at Cervantes in Denver Co. YEG.Dj, dropped another amazing set, mixing Pop instrumentals with old school reggae that keep the crowd dancing at a steady riddim until UB40 graced the stage.


Back to his Dub style, YEG.Dj Shared the stage with Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and Ginza from Atlanta Ga.
Now geared with a host of fresh ideas and new sounds, YEG.DJ, has been in the studio with Arketech Music working on new Riddims, Remixes, Dubs and Dubstep for the summer of 2011.

Sorea Shimazu aka Solea (pronounced as “So-Le-A”) was born in 1974, and raised in Yokohama, Japan. Encountered didgeridoo on the way of traveling across Asia, US, North-Africa, North Europe. After spending years in Hokkaido, north of Japan, he settled down in Tokyo, and joined Floatribe Live Session, which made him start his music career mainly in metropolitan, Tokyo. Now, he’s formed and started his solo project “SOLEA OVERTONE”. Like your cigarette ashes falling from a high window, gently towards your elderly neighbours exotic garden and into her favourite flower pot of amazonian passion flowers; you yell down an apology that rings in her hearing-aids, she hears nothing but "the passion flowers!" and abruptly responds by swinging her head around and stumbling backwards onto her stone lined garden pathway. A stone loosens and carries her foot into a plummet towards the brick-laden bench a few feet behind her and her head lands hard against its hard edge, blood comes out of her eyes. You move away in horror and guilt. Her family decides to cremate her and carry her in her favouite flower pot to the amazon which she most admired, and into the rich black earth there; Terra Preta, a life promoting soil unlike any other, made of charcoal and bones, which the gardener always wished she had. Her own ashes were placed in the soil, and her flower pot was filled with it and passion flower seeds. The family left happy. A few years go by and you are still haunted by the memory of your old neighbour, and every time you think of it you need a smoke. You decide to take a vacation to the amazon where she was laid, to relieve your conscious, tend to the flower pot, apologize in a softer voice. When you arrive, you find nothing but some strange tribal men, who speak English simply. One has her elegant flower pot on his head but a piece of it is missing, and approaches you with stern interest, appearing to be the chief. You tell him you came to visit your friend in the soil, and overcome by so many feelings, you say aloud how much you need a cigarette. The chief softens up upon the understanding of your loyal visit to your lost friend, and he has a smoke. He says they are the best smokes on the earth and forcefully thrusts it towards you. You accept it, impressed, it has a filter! And it was the best smoke you ever had, such a rich and robust flavour, so clean feeling. You boast to him that it is so nice and you ask him "why?". He says, while walking, it comes from the black earth; in their tribe they sift the local soil and add sacred elements to the tobacco they grow, they extract charcoal from it and mix it with fibers from plants to make the filters, which purify the smoke. They said it was the best batch of cigarettes they've made all year, they supported their tribe well with its value. He stopped and said "this is where we dug." And the piece of the flower pot was laying there. He explained that the elegant flower pot with plant fibers in it was above the soil they extracted from, so it is now a token of pride worn by the chief who mastered the product. By the time he finishes explaining this story, there is not much left of the cigarette yet there is a long ash because you were listening too intently to smoke it, while shock was slowly sinking in. A breeze flew by, the ash fell onto the churned soil where your neighbours ashes were buried, and landed on the piece of the flower pot left there. You stared at it, knowing you just smoked your neighbour and ashed on her flower pot again. 

It's like that.

Bass player and drummer currently living in Visalia, CA.  This page is a place for me to show some of old music as well as upload new tracks I'm working on.  Ultimately, hopefully it will help me find other similar musicians to jam with in the Central Valley of CA.  I would consider my style as some combination of the following: rock, funk, heavy funk, melodic, clean, energetic, good-feeling but dark at times, deep, seeing beyond traditional societal norms, meaningful, and spacy.  I also derive influence and inspiration from hip-hop and electronic/techo music.  Ideally, I will create a sound that pulls from all of those influences, but most of the basic songs I write are more bouncy rock/funk songs.   Hopefully as I move forward I can realize my influences more to create something that represents me appropriately.

I'll add more in time.
