No thunder, no miracle CGI—just a tiny, unexpected warmth that slips through the cracks
of burnout capitalism, Web3 wreckage, and tired timelines.

In this track, a punk girl is on the edge:
scrolling past disasters, pretending she’s fine,
running missions, burning out her heart one notification at a time.
Everything feels transactional, gamified, measured…
until, for one strange moment, it doesn’t.

Somewhere between insomnia and collapse,
she feels something like a smile pressed against her soul—
not judging, not demanding, just quietly staying.
The synths shimmer like distant neon,
the guitars carry both ache and tenderness,
as if the Holy Spirit is not a distant doctrine
but a presence sitting beside her on the night train,
saying without words:
“You are still seen. You are not alone in this broken world.”

That’s Pete and Pete, the original members, augmented with Spud, Pecos,  Snooks and Smooch. Pete and Pete were formally founder members of The Petes. The band like to explore a range of musical styles. They started out with folk, rock and blues but they have also been exploring a vocal style of lizard-lounge type jazz too - smoky and melodic. You’ll find love songs, both exuberant and elegiac, along with songs of loss, as well as songs lamenting the state of our world and our society.
