Dru Andrekopoulos AKA Dru West started playing trumpet, piano, and drums at the age of 9. He began Djing at the age of 18 playing gigs at raves/clubs in Chicago, Milwaukee, and other areas around the midwest. Years later Dru also began playing trumpet & touring in a Reggae band called International Connection. He also laid down horn tracks on their first Album release. After being a full time radio DJ in Wisconsin for years he moved to San Diego in the late 90’s where he began working at the infamous Club Velvet held at the Del Mar Racetrack & playing trumpet for the Tribe of Judah. In 2003 Dru moved to San Francisco  playing regularly at clubs like 1015 Folsom, Ruby Skye, Snow Drift, DNA Lounge, The End Up, Club Six, Mighty, and many underground Burning Man Fundraisers. While living in SF Dru released his first mix compilation called Runway Journey. In 2009 Dru moved to NYC and signed with Fierce Animal Recordings where he released a number a tracks on the label. He also started his podcast E-Music which at its peak had over 40,000 subscribers around the world. After taking a hiatus from his music career to help young aspiring actors & singers pursue their dreams in the entertainment business Dru has been back in the studio working on new music that will be out soon. He has also been touring around the US and Europe supporting such Artists as Tinlicker, Spencer Brown, Gabriel & Dresden, Marsh, Nox Vahn, Yotto, Ben Bohmer, Solarstone, Jaytech, Sunny Lax, Genix, Jody Wisternoff, Fatum, Dusky, Matt Lange, Massane, Mat Fax, Dezza, Dosem, and many more. Dru also runs a Record Label / Wellness Event Company call Positive Thought Frequency. He’s been holding various conscious music events & bringing Self Care around the world to places like Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge Amphitheater & retreats in the beautiful country of Peru. These events combined music, movement, & mediation to shift to a Positive Thought Frequency. Dru is excited for what the future holds and is trusting the Universe to guide him. Namaste 🙏
