As a matter of fact my most listened to set on YouTube is an Afro-Cuban mix I did some time ago called "El Baile." (With over 2 million plays and counting) That was my very first time playing this amazing genre of House Music and I've been hooked ever since. I'm trying hard to get to New York's (Sony Hall) this Saturday June 7th to hear the iconic collective: "The Elements of Life" as part of this years Blue Note Jazz Festival. EOL has been a staple in my and many other Soulful House DJ's record collections over the years. I probably have everything that they have put out. They are a throwback band of sorts playing their soulful dance music with incredible singers and musicians like: Josh Milan, Lisa Fischer, Jose Manual Jr., Luisto Quintero, Cindy Mizelle, Dawn Tillman, Anna Vega, Raul Midon and others. All produced, arranged and conducted by the maestro himself, Mr. Louie Vega. Man, listen! These guys have hits on top of hits, as a matter of fact they literally have house music "anthems" in their creative catalog. So until the concert this weekend... Let's just Dance!!!

In the early 1980's Lionel Richie left one of my all time childhood groups The Commodores to pursue a solo career in music and boy did it pay off. Lionel was super talented and had a golden voice so his success wasn't a surprise but I don't think anyone knew just how big he would become. "Love Will Find a Way" is one of my favorites by him, written by Greg Phillingaines  who's one of the most talented background musicians ever in my humble opinion. This tune is just so well written and so very smooth... Enjoy!!!
