Back at our mammoth Stay True Scotland broadcast earlier this month, one track came real close to bringing The Caves' roof down during Nina Kraviz's powerhouse headline set. "I Wanna Go Bang" very nearly executed its titular statement – well, if the song was more about wrecking balls and less about...oh, never mind.

The vocals that stalk the track, so wholly devoid of humanity, rub up against razor-sharp claps and serious bounce in the subs. It's weighty warehouse techno of the highest order, set to devastate dark basements and big tents alike throughout the year. Simply put: Icelandic producer Bjarki has delivered a bomb.

As a proper warm-up to our first ever Dekmantel Festival São Paulo 2017 adventure in February, we've asked five Brazilian locals for a mini mix-series we'll be hosting in the upcoming weeks.

Next up is Paulo Tessuto, who signs for the 4th Dekmantel Festival São Paulo 2017 podcast on his birthday. Tessuto is a known as a true selector, with his sets being always full of energy. As a central figure in Sao Paulo’s music scene, he organizes his own event Capslock and played two Gop Tun events over the years whilst setting dance floors on pure fire. Glad to invite this talented Brazilian to Dekmantel Festival São Paulo in February. Happy birthday, Paulo!

A killer selection of ice cold motorized Detroit electro tracks by Le Car! After Le Car had been dismantled and the parts put in storage years ago we have a final ride with Le Car that has been reassembled for the occasion. The '96-'97 Detroit electro project by Adam Lee Miller (Later known for his Adult. project) and Ian Clarke (known for his Perspects project) show another side of the Detroit music scene. The duo met at Art School and had a shared love for electronic music and conceptual art. This resulted in their own little vehicle named Le Car that had a test drive for four ep's. The Auto-fuel Ep, Auto-graph Ep, Automatic and the final Auto-motif ep of which 3 came out on MIller's Detroit label "Monoplaza Record Company" (A Sublabel of Ersatz Audio). The connection between Rotterdam/The Hague and Detroit was quickly made those days when a new generation of producers came up (including producers such as DBX, Ectomorph and Drexciya) which resulted in collaborations and releases of Adult., and Perspects. These releases by Le Car are the conceptual link between the Detroit techno scene and the heritage of the automotive city that effected everything thats been going on in the city for the last 4-5 decades. Inspired by the electronic musical pioneers that came to rise during the decline of the city which was in full effect during the 80's. Robots replacing humans in the factories, Electronic machines replacing musical instruments. Where the warm Motown sound could stand for the rise of the city, the city's electro/techno movement which appeared in all layers of the population can be seen as the (beautiful) reflection of the city's downfall with Le Car as one understated and important part. Now, 20 years after their first test drive we celebrate the last ride of Le Car on Clone Classic Cuts. Enjoy the ride! (ltd edition 2lp album)

Five years after the illustrious Paranormal Soul LP, techno derelict Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt returns on Clone with “Legendary Freaks In The Trash Of Time”. A vivid collection of twelve genre-defying tracks: from late-night hermit house to Memphis rap influenced slowjam electro, from Amiga 1200 technorave to cosmic spaceweed trance, including the whole universe in between. With dusty driving percussion and a soulful piano melody, Adryiano delivers a dancefloor bomb. He's been steadily supplying the scene with quality underground tracks since he emerged in 2012 and this latest offering showcases the essence of his house sound.
