I keep up with all the latest health and fitness trends every single day
I’m trying really hard to do my best to keep the aging process at bay
Sometimes I get overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice
Taking a break from all this this healthy stuff sure would be nice
I’m buttoned down a bit too tight
I really want to take a bite
Of something that’s not right
And one day I just might
I try to make good food choices when I shop at the grocery store
When I go to a friend’s house I drink one beer, even though I want to drink more
I try to get regular exercise and keep my weight under control
I try not to turn up the volume when I listen to rock and roll
I’m buttoned down a bit too tight
I really want to take a bite
Of something that’s not right
And one day I just might
These days my idea of being crazy is having an extra scoop of ice cream

When you’re living a life of self deprivation
Sometimes you’ve gotta take a little break
Sometimes you gotta put down the celery and have a slice of cake
Sometimes you just gotta let down your hair
Even if you don’t have very much left up on top of there
