KORR-A’s demand got her an invitation to open and perform for the Miss Mexico 2012 pageant and tour throughout Mexico. KORR-A has been featured in magazines nationwide and keeps up with appearances and performances. Her music has played on heavy rotation on party 105 in Long Island NY, 92.5 in Chicago and on all major radio stations throughout Florida.

KORR-A’s debut track “This Is Your Night” was an explosive reworking of Amber’s smash hit, which hit the Top Ten on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart in 1996. 
Marking her emergence as a force to be reckoned with in dance and house music, KORR-A’s version took her to similar heights throughout Europe (charting in the UK and Spain) and the U.S. The track—which was released by Dauman Music--entered the commercial pop charts in the UK’s Music Week at #27 and rose to #15 and recently charted in the U.S. based DJ Times, rising into the Top 20 from its initial entry at #24. The original remixers of “This Is Your Night” include Gustavo Scorpio (Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face,” Katy Perry, Adele), Automatic Panic (AC/DC, Motley Crue, Lady Gaga, Donna Summer), Ellis Miah (Hannah Montana Dance Project and Sam and Dan (Lil Wayne, Frenchie Davis) and DJ Riddler, whose superstar credits include Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Mariah Carey; he has also done remixes for Amber.
KORR-A has been pursuing other artistic interests throughout and since she graduated from Pepperdine University (where she studied PR and graphic design) in Malibu, California in the Spring of 2011. Continuing the modeling aspect of her career—growing up, she did ads for American Girl, The Gap and Limited— KORR-A has done several photo shoots for Maxim Espanol. She took part in a mini tour with other singers and dancers as part of a Southern California anti-bullying campaign sponsored by Celebrity High Magazine. Performing live for high school students throughout the region, she was the only dance music artist on the program among pop singers and hip-hoppers. 
“Because I have a background in a lot of different areas, I’m excited by being able to work in many aspects of the entertainment industry,” says KORR-A, whose house music influences include Ferry Corsten, Kaskade, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, and Daft Punk. “Music will always be first in my heart. I’ve been a dancer all my life and have always loved house music, so writing and recording dance music and working with so many amazing producers and remixers is a perfect fit – as well as a dream come true.” 
“By the time I graduated from Pepperdine,” she adds, “I had written and recorded enough original pop songs to make an album. But the more I kept gravitating towards dance and house music, the more I realized that this earlier material wasn’t truly who I wanted to be as an artist. I decided it would be better to build on the elements of house music I was already exploring. When the opportunity to record the Amber song came about, I knew this was the perfect way to launch my career.”
While cultivating her photography skills via her favorite toy, a Polaroid camera, she was a born performer putting on shows for family gatherings from an early age, singing, dancing, acting and even doing magic shows. She was a member of two major dance groups, including Todes, which toured throughout Eastern Europe and incorporated everything from ballet to jazz and hip hop; the other, My Way, was a hip-hop upstart at the time and has since developed into a huge well-known company. Later at Pepperdine, she participated in the University’s annual Dance In Flight production, choreographing and performing hip-hop.
Renowned for her quick wit, Hollywood glam and curious girl next door vibe, KORR-A’s passion for perfection and deep need for self-expression have driven her success as a recording artist, dancer, model, actress and producer. “My immediate musical goal is to have a #1 single and hit the Billboard charts,” she says, “and I’m excited to be on the road towards that level of success. Cleveland rockers Filmstrip recorded their second LP, Moments Of Matter, in November, 2012 at Echo Mountain Recordings in Asheville, North Carolina. Brothers Dave Taha (guitar, vocals) and Matt Taha (bass, vocals) have been making music with Nick Riley (drums) over the last 17 years, since they were in middle school, and formed Filmstrip in 2009. Making waves locally and nationally over the last few years, Filmstrip issued their debut LP, Everything Can Change, in 2010, the follow-up EP Feeling Like ∞ in 2011, and have toured extensively across the US, including a trip to the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, and several Midwest and East coast tours. They were recently featured in the May 2012 Issue of Transworld Japan Video Magazine, and were featured in the 2011 film Long Way to Oblivion, which debuted at the Cleveland International Film Festival. Filmstrip also composed theme music for the 2012 Theatre Ninjas production, Marble Cities.

WHAT

This programming language is called:

"A tool for the expression of sound as pure form."

It is an interpreter for a language for creating and transforming sound. The
language is mostly functional, stack based and uses postfix notation similar to
FORTH. It represents audio and control events using lazy, possibly infinite
sequences. It intends to do for lazy sequences what APL does for arrays: provide
very high level functions with pervasive automatic mapping, scanning, and
reduction operators. This makes for a language where short programs can achieve
results out of proportion to their size. Because nearly all of the programmer
accessible data types are immutable, the language can easily run multiple
threads without deadlock or corruption.

WHY

Other languages that inspired this one:
    APL, Joy[1], Haskell, Piccola[2], Nyquist[3], SuperCollider[4].

APL and FORTH (from which Joy derives) are both widely derided for being
write-only languages. Nevertheless, there has yet to be a language of such
concise expressive power as APL or its descendants. APL is powerful not because
of its bizarre symbols or syntax, but due to the way it automatically maps
operations over arrays and allows iterations at depth within arrays. This means
one almost never needs to write a loop or think about operations one-at-a-time.
Instead one can think about operations on whole structures.

Here is a great quote from Alan Perlis[5] on APL, which that also reflects my
interest in this way of programming :
"What attracted me, then, to APL was a feeling that perhaps through APL one
might begin to acquire some of the dimensions in programming that we revere in
natural language — some of the pleasures of composition; of saying things
elegantly; of being brief, poetic, artistic, that makes our natural languages
so precious to us."

The Joy language introduced concatenative functional programming. This generally
means a stack based virtual machine, and a program consisting of words which are
functions taking an input stack and returning an output stack. The natural
syntax that results is postfix. Over a very long time I have come to feel that
syntax gets in between me and the power in a language. Postfix is the least
syntax possible.

There are several reasons I like the concatenative style of programming:
    Function composition is concatenation. 
    Pipelining values through functions to get new values is the most natural
        idiom.
    Functions are applied from left to right instead of inside out. 
    Support for multiple return values comes for free. 
    No need for operator precedence. 
    Fewer delimiters are required: 
        Parentheses are not needed to control operator precedence.
        Semicolons are not needed to separate statements.
        Commas are not needed to separate arguments.


When I am programming interactively, I most often find myself in the situation
where I have a value and I want to transform it to something else. The thing to
do is apply a function with some parameters. With concatenative programming this
is very natural. You string along several words and get a new value.
