In this mix I had the vastness, depths and timelessness of the cosmos in mind, the fear and terror of the scale and the insignificance of all of our worldly issues and concerns. Our floating through this timelessness is signified by the opening tracks, our fears by the middle section of tracks and our acceptance of our pale insignificance in the closing portion of tracks. I hope you enjoy it.

Aeonic Oceans

This mix is the second I have been working on recently, the first being Aeonic Oceans and both inspired by the Universe series by Prof. Brian Cox. The mix starts with an ambient piece, leading into a request for introspection, which currently, a lot of us are doing. We then follow a linear and direct route with steady pads, ethereal drones right to the end. There are a number of labels including some of my favourites - Affin Records (J. Spieth) and AGOS with my friend Void - a great label check them out. Some older tracks (M. Ro) through to brand new releases (K. Hypnowave). See track listing below, slap on some cans and enjoy!

Goldilocks Zone

Last mix of the year. Here I have tried to capture the encroaching and enveloping darkness of a childhood lived civil war and the lasting effects through a life. The attempts of escapism show up by patches of light, but once again subsume to the undercurrents of bleakness and fear, until a new life is discovered at last.

Bleakness Into Light

A subdued but constant zephyr, builds up it's intensity driven along by the hypnotic pads, before fading into the background and subsiding away. A deep and reflective mix which offers some time for reflection of your place amongst the elements. Enjoy.  See below for track listing.

A slower, deeper mix with BPM between 95-120 ideal for headphones on the train, in bed on a sleepless night or for a lazy morning.

Lucidity 22

This mix was called something entirely different and essentially meaningless until I listened to it again this morning prior to uploading. It seemed to me that the mood of the world ATM required something more apt. Whilst this is more meditative etc, there is an uneasiness about it which reveals itself at various points. The first track I feel reflects what I can only assume must be similar to in a subway tunnel not knowing if or when you can get out. Unknown echoing noises from above. Claustrophobia and fear accompany solace throughout the mix. I hope this situation ends soon. Thoughts to everyone across the planet affected by this. Peace.

TREVE series 82 - Morian

I’ve always flip flopped through musical genres. Metal, Indie, Dub, Electronic falling in and out of love with them.

Deep techno though, this one is a keeper. The solace, emotion, stillness, energy and compassion it invigorates is something special. 

I try to include that in all my mixes.
