Two guitar, two voices, Sailin' might just get us through the bad weather...

The Tequila Monday Project

Sailin'

Based around an acoustic riff, the song is about how a wave can be the start, or the end of something, and maybe a chance to start again. Produced by Shael Wrinch at Stone Hill studios on Bowen Island, B.C. Chris Herbsen on vocals, Shael doing harmonies and more of that great slide guitar.

A hauntingly melodic protest song wrapped in analog warmth. Tribal pulls no punches as it explores political division, fragile love, and the psychology of ideological drift. Jazzy seventh chords and vintage guitars underscore the story of two souls caught in a cultural crossfire—still close, but barely holding on.

This is a continuation from the song “Mindfulness” in both concept and musical motive.  

As we start to gaze within, layer after layer appears. We may show some of it to some people, but it is not the face we show to the world around us. While the music may sound like it is changing in odd ways, it represents the parts of me that only I know. Sometimes, this process of discovery reveals that we can be a stranger even to to ourselves.

I wrote this song when I was traveling the world in my 20s. I arranged and wrote the instrumental parts. My former band The Borderless Puzzle recorded this version on our album Now Feel This. I'm playing the bass and singing.

Ok.... as most of ya know... I went to Boston with my wife ( primarily ) to see a Scott Weiland show... We also toured Boston ... and Walden Pond...I wrote this upon my return .. A memoir if u will... Scott was fucked up and sang and performed half assed!! Haha.. But when I bought the VIP pass and was the first one to meet him .. I shook his hand real firm and looked him square in the eyes and said.."Scott... Is an honor, sir!" .. Well he just looks at me like he's creeped out and says "blah blah blah"... Whilst he had a mouth full of chewed up crackers... Haha it really made me feel bad for a little while but I got over it ..it's only rock n roll! Right?!
I read online that the people in line to meet him behind me got the worst
Of the deal.. He told one guy "let's suck a dick".. And another guy he told to "shut up and get this shit over with"... Haha so.. In retrospect he must've liked me! Haha
