Nice cover of Just The Way You Are- I loved The Stranger album, 1977, there were a lot of cool songs that made the charts.  BJ has a nice voice and no doubt plays the keys well, I enjoy most everything he writes.  He originally wrote this song for his first wife, Elizabeth Weber, but it ended in divorce and he didn't want to release it, but did with encouragement from friends (Linda Ronstadt & Phoebe Snow, who were in the studio at the time). He rarely performed the song live until the 2000's.

Clark Datchler wrote Shattered Dreams, released in 1988. He was the lead in the English group, Johnny Hates Jazz.  I enjoyed a lot of their music, and always liked this one.  Clarks idea was the song would revolve around divorce, (or a break up), but he said people relate to "shattered dreams" in many ways, outside of relationships. Either way, it's a cool song and I recommend listening to him sing it.

I loved a lot of the Doors music & there's something interesting about The Crystal Ship .  It may have been written for Jim Morrisons first serious girlfriend, Mary Werbelow, but there is speculation.  The verses are vague and contain more of a dreamy atmosphere, or could represent a drug trip, hallucination or crystal meth. Either way, I always liked listening to it and enjoyed doing it on piano.

Dan Fogelberg has been a favorite since high school, I started listening to his music, I thought he was really talented as a songwriter, musician and vocalist.  He wrote great emotional lyrics, sounded like they were right from the heart.  It's a shame he passed so young, but his music is still popular.  I appreciated all of his music, mostly the songs that didn't get popular.

Elton John's "The One" , from the album of the same title.  Very pretty melody that I've always liked.  The song is about people searching for, and hopefully finding a soulmate..."where the pieces finally fit".

Great mid-70's pop song by Janis Ian, the kind of song that everyone can relate to.  Most people feel like a social outcast at some point in their lives, particularly in middle or high school.  The song still resonates with people and sounds nice as an instrumental.
