Season 6 projects in English

Seven years of existence for the podcast, week after week, every appointment honored and five full seasons of broadcasts!
Out of respect for the work accomplished and all the architects' words memorized, “consigned”, all the focus projects, our intention was to launch season 6 in a realistic, resolutely constructive and inspiring way!

So, enjoy this S6 #2, dedicated to the projects of a humble, still-young and much-awarded French office. 
In this issue, after introducing Atelier Georges*, Aurélien Delchet, one of its associates, explains the stakes involved in two of their emblematic projects: their involvement in sector E of the Village des Athlètes in Saint-Ouen and the rehabilitation of the Mellinet barracks in Nantes. Two pieces of work to be carried out under extraordinary conditions. 
Far from the starification of the profession, a resolutely forward-looking issue to open this new season!

S6#2 🇺🇸🇬🇧 Itv, "Another approach : Athletes' Village & Mellinet projects" with Aurélien Delchet

Esther Morin, Myriam Richter and Robinson Mangematin distinguished themselves at the latest edition (n°17) of Europan with their project Le héron qui voulait voir l'océan (The heron who wanted to see the ocean) in Guerande France. In this episode, they explain their project, which raises questions about the coastline and the threat of submersions.

Alexandre Plantady, architect and co-director of the Line-Up agency, as well as president of the Maison de l'Architecture de Bretagne, presents the second Georges Architecture Festival, to be held in Rennes from September 19 to October 6, 2024.

S6#6 🇺🇸🇬🇧 "Georges Festival Georges" Maison de l'Architecture et des espaces en Bretagne, France

One is a historic site, Calvi. The other is a recent mixed-use office district: La Courrouze in Rennes. The former needs to evict abandoned parts of the city, while the latter needs to welcome new residents and open up to residential use. In both cases, the architect has to deal with the scale of the territory and its realities, armed with his ability to project, to create architecture! Both projects were designed by Line Up architecture. One is a competition project, the other is rooted in reality...

S6#8 🇺🇸🇬🇧 "Two projects, Calvi & Courrouze and two stories of alchemy"

A new SPOT format from Com d'Archi, dedicated to heritage, with a focus on the Ile-de-France naves rehabilitated by the Chatillon architects agency for the 2024 Olympic Games: those of the Grand-Palais in Paris and the Ile des Vannes in Saint-Ouen. I've long been an admirer of this agency, for which I did some historical research. So I know it at least from the inside. It always rehabilitates with extraordinary intelligence, with no fracture between past, present and future. While clichés still separate heritage from modernity, let's take a look at these fabulous naves!

S6#9 🇺🇸🇬🇧 SPOT "The legacy of fabulous naves", revitalized by Chatillon architects

Construction of a new community hall in the heart of the Mauldre Valley, France

Set in the sweeping landscape of the Mauldre Valley, the new community hall in Beynes is becoming a defining feature of this small town with its surrounding hamlets. Located at the entrance to the town, nestled on a slope, the building overlooks the departmental road and the railway line that cross below.

Carlo Grispello, a partner at Graal, tells us about the project.
