THEMOVE presents: Breakfast with Ian Boswell. Ian Boswell is in his first Tour de France for Team Katusha-Alpecin. Marshall Opel is in reportage mode, exploring and touring France. A former U.S. Cycling National team member himself, Marshall was roommates with Ian back in the day and decided he'd go over and tag along for his first Tour ride. He'll be talking to Ian each morning, discussing things such as how he got here, his influences, his generation along with the daily rituals of diet, rest, stress, the race, the riders, the stages, the people, the spectacle and whatever may come up during this three-week life called Le Grande Bouche. THEMOVE presents: Breakfast with Ian Boswell. Ian and Marshall get a bit of a sleep in, then discuss pee stops in public, the roads being filled with grilling, the France holiday, the caravan swag, and then it's gone. Le Tour. It's not logical. But it's special. They discuss the stories, their friend Lawson's crash and life in the bunch. Fingers crossed for safety. Smell the roses. B-Fast with Boswell: Mouilleron-Saint-Germain

THEMOVE presents: Breakfast with Ian Boswell. Ian and Marshall discuss the benefits of being in the same hotel for a week to start the Tour, double cold wrist bands, the VIP scene experience vs. average Joe, the fight of Chavanel, being realistic at the end of a technical stage and the TTT today vs. junior gearing. THEMOVE presents: Breakfast with Ian Boswell. Ian and Marshall discuss the small world, naps, 'Tony the Panzer,' keeping it simple and how the view from the TTT in Cholet was yesterday while they met up poolside in La Baule. Tradition has changed for Ian, no to pastas, yes to melon hydration; and how today is about focusing on your body and being what you are as rider. Look for Rider 142 with the freckles. Ian and Marshall discuss the team bus over a second breakfast, the glorious World Cup, short term memory in cycling and being paid for week two and three, everyone’s picks and inviting Gilbert to Ian’s Bachelor Party in Hells Canyon, Oregon. Ian and Marshall are in the VIP tent and discuss over coffee and crepes Wi-Fi needs and logistics, Brittany hospitality, sleeping-not sleeping, the green number with Hinault, loosing his roommate, climbing vs. closing and saving energy. THEMOVE presents: Breakfast with Ian Boswell. Marshall is in Ian's room for a personal jet fuel coffee to discuss those moments of firepower in the group, getting help and allies, any day anything can happen, the rules and how experience counts as we head into the longest stage of Le Tour. The gents are back in Ian’s room for Bastille Day to discuss the benefits of boredom on a Tour stage, celebrity, the enormous logistical infrastructure, town character, and looking forward to the mountains with Roubaix looming. THEMOVE presents: Breakfast with Ian Boswell. Marshall puts in a phone call to Ian pre ‘mini Paris-Roubaix’ and chat the World Cup transfer, the Panzer Wagon being out, Dan Martin, too many cobbles or not for the Tour, bike tech and sleeping Hopscotch.
