When you think of New York City, what comes to mind?

Music, Art, Fashion – and a culture unlike any other. 
A scene based on what’s to come, and what you’re yet to discover. 
This is New York Cats (NYC DJs). 
Three lads with an unfair amount of creativity. 
As a DJ/Production trio, their realm covers playing at events, throwing events and being kicked out of their own events. (It happens to the best of us!) 
Calling ‘New York Cats Burger Bar’ their home for the last two years, (via The Carlton Club every Sunday) they have the chance to stay true, developing a large following in the Melbourne-party-scene. 

In the past year, New York Cats have secured support slots for Huxley, Mylo, and Shigeto. Tore up the Smirnoff Stage at Splendour In The Grass, and have regular DJ slots at Revolver, Prince Bandroom, OneSixOne, Brown Alley, and The Liberty Social. 
Add to that, the brains behind Gold Ticket Group (Music, Arts, Events, and all of the above…), their capacity as ‘all-rounders’ is pretty impressive.  
Hang out with them, listen to them and party with them – and you’ll feel a subsequent amount of happiness, joy and inferiority. But most of all, at home.

Project Update - September 2013
Mash: For those of you that don't know, I hit a bit of a musical crossroads recently. I moved from Berkshire in early 2012 and relocated to Worcestershire (hell... the beers cheaper!) and tried to keep the project going by travelling back to Reading each week to rehearse with Steve (Guits) and Dom (Bass) but I was not financially able to sustain this, the beer isn't that cheap... I've since been looking for members to join me to get this show back on the road but it seems that the majority of musicians in the West Mids are in other bands/wanting to play other genres/time wasters so this has been far from productive. I also broke one of my fingers around this time last year which totally put me out of the game for quite some time...

Since then I have invested in a new audio interface, Pro tools 10, a new full size keyboard to replace the 37 key jobby I previously worked with.. Oh, and I also purchased a rather nice Roland E-kit and a new computer capable of running it all. 

Only trouble is, I'm currently working pretty much 7 days a week and when I'm not I seem to lack motivation to do anything musical... After logging on here and seeing all the new and old people taking the time to favorite my material and leave me some seriously amazing compliments despite the shoddy mixes it's given me the kick up the arse I need to bring my prog back to life.

Kryptine plays music as a dj and decorate parties under the name Havainto. First decos he painted over 14years ago. In recent years he's been very active and has shown his art and played in many parties around Finland. Music style what you hear from him can be mystical downtempo with tribal beats, groovy tech,  psychedelic dark progressive or perhaps some other cool music.
Around 2015 he started to organise downtempo based parties, which are called Odd Lounge and also founder of Spiralis events. Later he became part of the Kosmos Festival team by curating Spacetime stage.

-NEW LP RECORDED AT ECHO MOUNTAIN

Cleveland rockers Filmstrip recorded their second LP, Moments Of Matter, in November, 2012 at Echo Mountain Recordings in Asheville, North Carolina. Brothers Dave Taha (guitar, vocals) and Matt Taha (bass, vocals) have been making music with Nick Riley (drums) over the last 17 years, since they were in middle school, and formed Filmstrip in 2009. Making waves locally and nationally over the last few years, Filmstrip issued their debut LP, Everything Can Change, in 2010, the follow-up EP Feeling Like ∞ in 2011, and have toured extensively across the US, including a trip to the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, and several Midwest and East coast tours. They were recently featured in the May 2012 Issue of Transworld Japan Video Magazine, and were featured in the 2011 film Long Way to Oblivion, which debuted at the Cleveland International Film Festival. Filmstrip also composed theme music for the 2012 Theatre Ninjas production, Marble Cities.

The hype machine and the automatic haters have not tainted the three-piece band from Cleveland, Ohio yet. What everyone needs to know is that I am first and foremost a songwriter. Lyrics should tell a story, evoke an emotion, bring understanding to a soul who feels alone...relate...and have a great hook to run through your head even after the song is over. Melodies don't have to be complicated, but there's nothing like a good riff to announce a song's arrival to the ear. I try to keep it real, either from my own experiences and dreams, or from those I've witnessed in this time on earth. Those in the "circle" know, those outside it, keep guessing....
Cathy is a 1986 graduate of Duquesne University's School of Music, a trumpet major with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.
She is registered with BMI as a songwriter/composer.
She fronts the Cathy Stewart Band, as well as solo acoustic performances, and fills in occasionally with bands around the area with vocals and rhythm guitar.
She is a multi-instrumentalist (trumpet, guitar, bass, keys, percussion, french horn) with a 4 octave vocal range(A3-A6). Her songwriting style ranges from rock, blues, country, Americana, soul, gospel, and pop. Her vocal styles encompass a wide range, pretty to gritty, with influences and nuances from Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Chrissie Hynde, Susan Tedeschi, and Tina Turner to Roger Daltrey, Bon Scott, Robert Plant, and the occasional Axl Rose.
Cathy teaches and performs administrative duties at the For Those About To Rock Academy, where she has been a vocal, beginning guitar, bass, keys, and beginning drum instructor since 2009 with founding colleagues David and Joey Granati.
Cathy has performed her music at the Bluebird in Nashville, Pittsburgh Marathon, Stage AE, The Hard Rock Pittsburgh, Wheeling Jamboree Radio Show, Shadow Lounge, Club Cafe, Smiling Moose, Double Wide, Lava Lounge, Valley Hotel, Sing Sing, Charlie Murdoch's, Holy Trinity Festival, Bloomfield Bridge Tavern, Howler's, Pizons, Mousetrap, Grass Roots Radio, Greensburg Summer Sounds Concert Series, Dave World TV, Armstrong Cable's The Beat, several internet radio shows, and has performed the National Anthem at Dealey Plaza, Dallas Texas, and for crowds of 6000+ twice for the Altoona Curve baseball organization, the Ride for the Ribbon, and many local functions. She has production credits on videos for the JFK Lancer research organization and appears in an episode of the 4th season of Cinemax's "Banshee" and as an extra in Ewan McGregor's feature movie "American Pastoral". She also runs av and sound for the Joe Cheeta's Gameshow Junkies gameshow experience.
She has 2 EPs out, "Originals-EP 1" (2008), "This Beggar's Ready To Ride" (2009), and is in production with a full length CD "Back To The Source". She co-produced and has 2 cuts on " Music That Matters-Pennsylvania" with Nashville music artist Wayne Warner for the Melodical Hearts organization to support adoption awareness. Her music appears on the Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle 2007 compilation CD. She appears on comedian Mark Eddie's "Dahntahn" single on trumpet and background vocals, as well as designing the artwork for the CD and jacket for its release party. She has also designed CD covers for the Granati Brothers, 4th Dimensional Beings, John Stangry, and other local artists, as well as her own. Pittsburgh artists who have contributed their talents to her recordings include Bob Banerjee, Matt Barranti, Dave Busch, Bob Crafty Crafton, Eric DeFade, David Granati, Joey Granati, Dave Hanner, Jake Hanner, Ryan Langley, Dave Rudovsky, Al Snyder, Greg Stewart, and from Nashville, Andy Hull and current producer Steve Rutledge. And since 2010 she has participated in the Thomas Jefferson Alumni Jazz Ensemble to raise funds for arts programs in the West Jefferson Hills School District with fellow alumni, many of which are Pittsburgh jazz Hall of Fame members.Cathy is a resident of the South Hills, where she teaches private music instruction.
