Although the career of Dutch/Chinese DJ, producer and vocalist Louise Hu (alias Dimmalou) seems to appear out of nowhere, she has been making her way for a long time.
Dimmalou developed her passion for music from an early age. At the age of 6 she was singing in a Dutch choir. Her experiences in the choir were highlighted by performances for notable figures such as the Dutch Queen Beatrix, as well as an international show in Prague, which further fueled her passion for music and performing. In her study years at the music school in Rotterdam, Louise collaborated with Dutch hip-hop icon Kempi and other renowned artists from the Netherlands.
Dimmalou's career took off with her featured single 'Sin Compromiso,' which earned over a million streams and made it to the Viral 50 Netherlands on Spotify and the 'Tip Parade' of the Dutch radio charts.
What sets Dimmalou apart from other musicians is her versatility as a singer- songwriter, DJ, and producer, as well as her Asian and Dutch roots. These cultural influences bring a unique perspective to her music and contribute to her distinct style, making her a standout artist in the music industry
This unique combination of skills has resulted in 18 releases in 2022 alone. Her covers of popular songs such as 'S&M' and 'Unwritten' have gained significant attention on Spotify, with each reaching over one million streams.
With over 445,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Dimmalou continues to grow her fan base and establish herself as a rising talent in the music industry. Her early experiences in the choir, collaborations with notable artists, and ability to seamlessly blend genres have contributed to her success, and she has become known for her distinctive sound and innovative approach to music.
